Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for walking with us and supporting us throughout these years. We thank all the individuals who stood by us in the field and roared alongside us in front of the administration. These achievements are not of a few, they are the achievements of the entire cadre, and we will never forget your contribution.
The General Elections of PGI Nurses Welfare Association are scheduled in the first week of May 2026. Mr. Gurmeet Singh has been appointed as Chief Election Commissioner to ensure a fair and transparent process.

The PGI Nurses Welfare Association participated in the peaceful protest organized by All India Government Nurses Federation on 6th February 2026 at Jantar Mantar, alongside several nursing associations from across the country. The protest brought forward the long-pending concerns of the nursing fraternity, including the urgent implementation of the 3rd Nursing Cadre Review, the need for time-bound promotions, enforcement of safe SIU-based nurse–patient ratios, clear job responsibilities for each nursing rank, and a fixed upper age limit for night duties. Participants also stressed the immediate filling of senior nursing posts, rejection of contractual recruitment, and the requirement for transparent, meaningful discussions with AIGNF before finalizing recommendations for the upcoming 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC).
