Subject: Join Us for ROTI/ROTA: A Global Scout Event!



Dear Brothers and Sisters in Scouting,

I hope you are doing well.

As you may know, October marks the annual tradition of organizing the JOTI/JOTA event, as referred to by WOSM. In our community, we call it ROTI/ROTA, standing for Rally on the Internet and Rally on the Air. In the spirit of Scouting, we warmly invite everyone, regardless of their scouting organization, to participate. We must uphold the Scout Law and promote unity across all Scouts.

Following discussions at the WFIS General Assembly (Europe), Baden Powell Scouts Malta raised the importance of this international event and committed to revamping the program. We are now reaching out to Scout Groups and Associations within WFIS Worldwide to join us in this exciting initiative.

We kindly ask that you share the attached poster with your Scout Groups and encourage them to participate. Over the past three years, we have been working hard to make this event more engaging, particularly for Wolf Cubs and their age group.

We are excited to announce that we will also be operating a VHF radio station with the call sign 9H6BPS, which will be live on Saturday, 19th October 2024. We encourage all to tune in and participate!

फलदार , छायादार , पुष्पदार पेड़ पौधों को तवज्जो दीजिये

पहले समय में लोग फलदार और छायादार वृक्ष और पौधे लगवाते थे । आज कल लोग इतने आधुनिक हो गए हैं कि ऐसे पेड़ पौधे लगवाते हैं कि जो न फलदार होते हैं , न ही फूलदार होते हैं और न ही छायादार ।

आजकल लोग दुबई में या जो रेगिस्तान में खजूर और उसकी प्रजाति के पौधे हैं उसको बड़े शौक से लगवा रहे हैं जिसका न फल हो , फूल हो न छाया हो ।

अरे दुबई एक ऐसा प्रदेश है जहाँ की जलवायु वनस्पतियों के अनुकूल नहीं है , वहाँ वही पौधे उगते हैं जो तेज धूप और बिना पानी के हो सकें । लेकिन चूंकि वह दुबई है , इसीलिए अगर कोई वहाँ थूक भी देगा तो लोग डिब्बो में सजा कर ले आयेंगे कि यह दुबई की थूक है ।

अरे पहले राजा महाराजा ऐसे पेड़ लगवाते थे कि उनके राज्य में कोई भूखा प्यासा तक न सो पाये । कोई गर्मी से मर न पाए ।
पहले मुझे याद है मेरे नाना के पिताजी पैदल ही अयोध्या , मथुरा के दर्शनों के लिए निकलते थे । पास में केवल सत्तू , एक लोटा और एक रस्सी होती थी । जहाँ कुवाँ देखा वहाँ रस्सी लगाकर लोटे से पानी खींच लिया और सत्तू बनाकर खा लिया । बाकी का जिस बगीचे से गुजर रहे हैं तरह तरह फल और खाद्य सामग्री से पेट भर रहे हैं ।

इसलिए कृपया फलदार और छायादार वृक्ष या पौधे ही लगवायें । अगर आप चाहते हैं कि तमाम रंग बिरंगे पक्षी और तितलियों से आपका प्राँगण भरा रहे तो विदेशी Palm इत्यादि को तिलांजलि दें ।
आपके देश में 6 ऋतुएँ हैं , जहाँ हर प्रकार की वनस्पति हो सकती है । आप जैसा सौभाग्यशाली नागरिक होना दुर्लभ है मौसम और जलवायु के मामले में । हाँ आरक्षण और राजनीति के मामले में आप जैसा दुर्भाग्यशाली नागरिक कोई और नहीं हो सकता ।

लेकिन पेड़ पौधों के मामले में आप बहुत समृद्ध हैं उसका लाभ लीजिये ।

फलदार , छायादार , पुष्पदार पेड़ पौधों को तवज्जो दीजिये ।

There are many ways to support and help in Scouting movement. For your convenient, below are mentioned some hints to help us for advancement of scouting movement-

-Through the direct financial support.

-You may sponsor our Special Events such as the Jamboree, Rover Moots, Ranger Meet, World Peace Camp and other many international events.

-You may help us to work as support staff in training camps and other events.

-You may provide shelter to our Pravasi/Field Volunteers.

-You may sponsor administrative cost of our offices and training centers.

-You may sponsor stipend to our Pravasi/Field Volunteers.
