Chandannagar Paribesh Unnayan Samity of ours is a registered voluntary organization which has been working for the protection and betterment of environment for the last 17 years. Our activities include awareness and action programmes throughout the year such as padayatra (Rally), Seminar, workshop, film show, Sit and Draw/Quiz/Debate/Public Speaking/ Essay competition among the students, tree plan

ting, water body cleaning and campaigning against all sorts of pollution. We observe the ‘World Environment Day’ every year on 5th June with the active cooperation and participation of Chandernagore Municipal Corporation. Besides tree plantation, Padayatra and Seminar on the UNO theme we also publish on this occasion our bilingual magazine titled ‘Sustha Paribesh’ containing articles on topical environmental problems.
