Stories were not just read today, they were deeply felt. 🌸📚

At our center, after reading and listening to stories, the children brought their favorite characters and illustrations to life through their imagination and colors. Some drew brave characters, some created smiling faces, while others expressed the emotions of the story through their artwork. 🎨✨

This was not just a drawing activity, but a beautiful space for children to express their thoughts, feelings, and creativity freely. Every color, every line, and every drawing reflected their imagination, understanding, and connection with the story. 💛

Building friendships with stories and finding expression through art — these little moments make learning even more meaningful and beautiful. 🌿

कहानियाँ सिर्फ पढ़ी नहीं गईं, उन्हें महसूस भी किया गया। 🌸📚

आज हमारे सेंटर में बच्चों ने कहानी सुनने और पढ़ने के बाद उन किरदारों और तस्वीरों को अपनी कल्पनाओं के रंगों से फिर से जीवित किया, जो उनके दिल को सबसे ज़्यादा छू गए। किसी ने बहादुर किरदार बनाया, किसी ने मुस्कुराते चेहरे, तो किसी ने कहानी की छोटी-छोटी भावनाओं को अपनी ड्रॉइंग में उतार दिया। 🎨✨

यह सिर्फ एक ड्रॉइंग एक्टिविटी नहीं थी, बल्कि बच्चों के लिए अपनी सोच, भावनाओं और कल्पना को खुलकर व्यक्त करने का एक खूबसूरत माध्यम बना।
हर रंग, हर रेखा और हर चित्र उनके भीतर की creativity, understanding और connection को दर्शा रहा था। 💛

कहानियों से दोस्ती और कला के ज़रिए अभिव्यक्ति — यही छोटे-छोटे पल सीखने को और भी खूबसूरत बना देते हैं। 🌿

Consistency is not just about showing up every day, it is about taking one step closer to your goals each day.

In today’s session, we explored how consistency plays an important role in achieving success and how regular efforts can make our work more impactful, meaningful, and effective.
We also discussed what consultancy is, how it works, and understood its overall process.
The session was facilitated by our team member .n.j.joshi , creating a space filled with learning, reflection, and meaningful conversations. 🌱

Consistency सिर्फ हर दिन मौजूद रहने का नाम नहीं है, बल्कि हर दिन अपने goals के एक कदम और करीब बढ़ने का नाम है।

आज के session में हमने समझा कि सफलता हासिल करने में consistency कितनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है और कैसे लगातार प्रयास हमारे काम को और अधिक प्रभावशाली, meaningful और effective बना सकते हैं।

इसके साथ ही हमने consultancy क्या होती है, कैसे काम करती है और उसके पूरे process को भी समझा और उस पर चर्चा की।

एक रस्सी, अनगिनत आकृतियाँ — और उनसे बने वो रिश्ते जो हमें shape देते हैं।
आज Sangeeta ने हमें याद दिलाया कि जो पल हम छुपा लेते हैं, वही असल में सबसे ज़्यादा खुशी देते हैं।
हँसी भी थी, आँखों में नमी भी — और एक-दूसरे से वो सच्चा जुड़ाव जो बस महसूस होता है, दिखाया नहीं जाता।
हम अलग हैं, इसलिए खास हैं। 🤍

One rope. Countless shapes. And the connections it reminded us we already have.
Sangeeta led our team through a session that brought back laughter, a few quiet tears, and something we sometimes forget — that the moments we tuck away are the ones that make us happiest.

Stories came alive at our centre as we explored ‘Sappu Ke Dost’ with the children 📖✨
Through a read-aloud of the story ‘Immi’, beautifully illustrated by Allen Shaw and written by Swayam Prakash, we didn’t just read a story — we felt it, discussed it, and connected our own experiences with it.
Because sometimes, a story is not just something we hear… it’s something we live together.

हमारे केंद्र में कहानियाँ सच में जीवंत हो उठीं, जब हमने बच्चों के साथ ‘सप्पू के दोस्त’ को पढ़ा 📖😿
‘इम्मी’ कहानी के रीड-अलाउड के दौरान, जिसे Allen Shaw ने खूबसूरती से चित्रित किया है और Swayam Prakash ने लिखा है, हमने सिर्फ कहानी नहीं पढ़ी — हमने उसे महसूस किया, उस पर बात की, और अपने अनुभवों से उसे जोड़ा।

A meaningful visit by the APF team to our centre, where conversations went beyond observation and moved into reflection and action.
From engaging with our spaces and visiting partner schools to deep discussions on youth leadership—how it is shaping journeys and how we can strengthen our approach further—this visit was rooted in learning and collaboration. We also reflected on our ongoing progress and the outcomes emerging from our work on the ground.
Moments like these help us pause, assess, and move forward with greater clarity and purpose.

जहाँ हर आवाज़ को मिलती है जगह, बिना किसी डर के ❤️

महफ़िल – जहाँ आवाज़ों को मिलता है मंच🌻

दिनांक 19 अप्रैल को रंग कारवाँ कार्यालय में आयोजित महफ़िल ओपन माइक केवल एक कार्यक्रम नहीं, बल्कि भावनाओं, अभिव्यक्ति और संवाद का एक जीवंत मंच था।
इस महफ़िल में 22 से अधिक युवा कलाकारों और बच्चों ने अपनी कहानियाँ, कविताएँ, स्टैंड-अप कॉमेडी और गीतों के माध्यम से खुद को व्यक्त किया।
साथ ही उन्होंने समाज से जुड़े अहम मुद्दों—जैसे कला के प्रति घटता झुकाव, कॉलेज में कक्षाओं की अनदेखी और गाँव से हो रहा पलायन—पर खुलकर अपनी बात रखी।
खेलों और इंटरैक्टिव गतिविधियों ने इस शाम को और भी खास बना दिया महफ़िल में शामिल प्रतिभागियों का मानना है कि यह एक ऐसी सुरक्षित जगह है जहाँ वे बिना डर और झिझक के अपनी बात रख सकते हैं—जहाँ उन्हें जज नहीं किया जाता, बल्कि सुना और सराहा जाता है बच्चों, युवाओं और महिलाओं सहित 22 प्रतिभागियों की उपस्थिति ने इस महफ़िल को और भी समृद्ध बनाया।
रंग कारवाँ द्वारा इस महफ़िल का आयोजन हर महीने किया जाता है—ताकि हर आवाज़ को मिले एक मंच 🎤

Mehfil – A space where voices find their stage🌻

On 19th April, Rang Kaarwaan organized an Open Mic Mehfil at its office—an evening full of expression, creativity, and meaningful conversations.
More than 22 young artists and children came together to present their stories, poetry, stand-up comedy, and music.
They also shared their concerns about important social issues such as declining interest in arts, lack of engagement in college classrooms, and migration from villages.
Interactive games and activities made the evening even more vibrant Participants shared that Mehfil is a safe and non-judgmental space where they can express themselves freely—without fear or hesitation With the participation of children, youth, and women, the Mehfil truly reflected diversity and collective expression.

Rang Kaarwaan organizes this Mehfil every month—to ensure every voice gets a platform 🎤

On the evening of 13th April, the sky felt a little closer ✨

Together with Bal Vigyan Khojshala, Berinag – Pithoragarh,
children, youth, and parents didn’t just look at the stars…they tried to understand them Someone asked, ‘Does every star create its own light?
Someone quietly gazed at the sky… and smiled Maybe that’s what learning really is when questions grow, and fear fades away.
An evening where the sky became a book…
and everyone became its reader.💙

बाल विज्ञान खोजशाला, बेरीनाग - पिथौरागढ़ के साथ मिलकर, बच्चों, युवाओं और parents ने सिर्फ सितारों को नहीं देखा…उन्हें समझने की कोशिश की किसी ने पूछा — ‘क्या हर तारा अपनी रोशनी खुद बनाता है?
किसी ने चुपचाप आसमान को देखा… और मुस्कुरा दिया शायद सीखना यही होता है जब सवाल बढ़ते हैं, और डर कम होता है। एक शाम, जहाँ आसमान किताब बना…

There is a difference between being present in a room and truly carrying voices into it.

Over the past few days, as Rang Kaarwaan moved through different spaces in New York, what stayed constant was not the stage, the city, or the scale but the responsibility of representing stories that don’t often get heard in these rooms.
Spaces change. Conversations change.

But the question remains the same:
Who gets to be heard, and who is still waiting?
For us, this journey is not something that begins or ends in New York. It continues in classrooms, in communities, and in the everyday moments where young people speak, question, and imagine differently.
And maybe that’s where the real work has always been.

This journey in New York was not just about speaking — it was also about learning.

On March 15, 2026, Rang Kaarwaan’s Founder Vandana Asha participated in a Forum Facilitation Lab with Theatre of the Oppressed NYC, engaging in a full-day learning space focused on participatory theatre, facilitation, and dialogue.Just a few days later, on March 20, she spoke at a CSW70 side event hosted by Girl Rising, Rise Up Together, and She’s the First joining global conversations on girls’ leadership, voice, and community change. Moving between these spaces from learning to speaking reflects how our work continues to grow: by listening, practicing, and sharing.
For Rang Kaarwaan, this journey was about carrying grassroots experiences into global rooms, while also bringing back learning that continues to shape our work on the ground.

On March 11, 2026, Rang Kaarwaan’s Founder Vandana Asha conducted an interactive session with students of Drama Therapy at NYU Steinhardt in New York.

The session introduced Rang Kaarwaan’s work with communities in India where young people use theatre and dialogue to express themselves, reflect on their experiences, and engage with questions of gender, identity, and everyday challenges. Through activities like Image Theatre and spectrum exercises, students participated in conversations around community, care, and connection not just as concepts, but as lived realities. The space opened up an important discussion: what does it mean to work with communities, rather than simply studying them?
For Rang Kaarwaan, this was an opportunity to bring grassroots practice into an academic space and to learn through dialogue across contexts.
