In Loving Memory of Manas Das (Sankha)
With a heart heavy beyond words, Maitri Sangha Payradanga mourns the untimely passing of one of its strongest pillars, Manas Das (affectionately known as Sankha Da), who left us on 1st January.
Sankha Da was more than a core member of our club, he was a big tree, under whose guidance, leadership, and unconditional love generations of us found shade, strength, and direction. Like a silent guardian, he stood tall through every storm, always placing the collective above himself.
Beyond the boundaries of the club, Sankha Da was a true social activist, deeply committed to the welfare of people. His life was driven by service, fairness, and courage. He spoke for those who couldn’t, worked for those who needed support, and never hesitated to stand up for what was right.
His absence leaves behind a massive void, one that cannot be filled. The streets, the meetings, the laughter, and the struggles of Maitri Sangha will never feel the same without his presence. Yet, his values, ideals, and spirit will continue to guide us, just as he always did.
We bow our heads in gratitude for the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.
You will forever live on in our hearts, in our work, and in the soul of Maitri Sangha Payradanga.
