Green Worms Green Worms is a social impact-oriented waste management organisation.

Our goal is to protect regions more vulnerable to climate change, particularly the coastal-region through

Waste management is a continuous process—and it succeeds when waste collection partners are supported, trained, and empowered.

We recently completed the Operational Excellence Program for Waste Collection Partners in collaboration with Kunnamangalam Grama Panchayat. The programme brought together Panchayat officials, elected representatives, and waste collection partners to strengthen the systems that keep waste management running effectively every day.

At Green Worms, we continue to undertake such initiatives because sustainable waste management begins with collective action and active stakeholder participation. ♻️

എന്റെ പേര് സുനീറ ഷാക്കിർ. ഗ്രീൻവേംസിൽ എന്റെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ വർഷമാണ് . കോമ്പാറയിൽ പ്രവർത്തനം തുടങ്ങിയ കാലം മുതൽ ഞാൻ ഇവിടെയുണ്ട് . ക്ലീനിങ് ആണ് ഞാൻ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് . ജോലി ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ഒരു ആഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടായ സമയത്താണ് ഗ്രീൻവേംസിനെ പറ്റി കേൾക്കുന്നത് . മക്കൾക്ക് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസമുണ്ട് , അവരോടാണ് ആദ്യം അഭിപ്രായം ചോദിച്ചത് - “ ഉമ്മയ്ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമാണെങ്കിൽ പൊയ്ക്കോളൂ , എല്ലാ ജോലിക്കും അതിന്റെതായ മഹത്വമുണ്ട് , ഒന്നിനെയും കുറച്ചു കാണരുത് “ എന്ന് മക്കൾ പറഞ്ഞു . അത് വലിയൊരു മാറ്റം ആയിരുന്നു ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയത്. ഇപ്പോ ജോലിക്ക് വരാൻ വളരെ ഇഷ്ടമാണ് , എല്ലാ തരത്തിലുള്ള സൗകര്യവും ഞങ്ങൾക് ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ട് . ഇപ്പോ സ്വന്തമായി ജോലിയുണ്ട് ,സമ്പാദിക്കാൻ ശീലിച്ചു , ഒരുപാട് കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് ഈ ജോലി വലിയൊരു സഹായമാണ് . മാത്രവുമല്ല ഇതൊരു സാമൂഹികമായ മാറ്റത്തിനുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനം കൂടിയാവുന്നു , അതിൽ പങ്കാളി ആവുന്നതിൽ സന്തോഷം മാത്രമാണ് . കൂടുതൽ അവധിയൊന്നും എടുക്കാറില്ല, ഇവിടെ എല്ലാവരുമൊത്തു ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നത് തന്നെയാണ് സന്തോഷം.
