🇮🇳 Celebrating 80 Years of Freedom with Love & Togetherness 🇮🇳

Today, we had the privilege of celebrating our 80th Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag at the Poor Home, Chevayur.

The Poor Home is a place very close to our hearts. It is a place we always long to visit, and we never miss an opportunity to meet the inmates, spend time with them, share a few smiles and bring some happiness into their lives.

Celebrating this special day with them made it even more meaningful. Hoisting our National Flag together and spending those precious moments with them reminded us that the true spirit of Independence is not only about freedom, but also about compassion, togetherness and caring for one another.

It was a beautiful day filled with patriotism, warmth and affection and memories that we will cherish. ❤️🇮🇳

Feeling incredibly proud to have Dr. V.P. Praveen, a renowned academician in the field of entrance coaching, as my buddy and President. His vision for Rotary Club of Calicut Uptown in 2026 is truly inspiring.
We are blessed to have already enrolled three deserving medical aspirants into a fully sponsored two-year Higher Secondary (Plus Two) education with NEET entrance coaching under our flagship Dream to Doctor Scholarship project.
Our other major initiatives include adopting a school for its holistic development, forming an Interact Club in one of Calicut's renowned schools to nurture young leaders and instill the values of social service in the younger generation, installing sanitary pad dispensers at St. Michael's Girls' Higher Secondary School to uphold the dignity, health, and hygiene of our girls, and extending continued support to pain and palliative care.
This is just the beginning. We have miles to go, many lives to touch, and a lasting impact to create. 💙
