Sanrakshan : IDA Malabar WDC hosted SANRAKSHAN as a State Inaugural event on the occasion of National Girl Child day, 24th January 2024. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Arya Gopi, a renowned and award winning Malayalam poet. The welcome address was by Mrs. Rejula, PTA President and Dr. Sreejan, Vice President, IDA Kerala State delivered the Presidential address.
Dr.Sarah Christopher, Chairperson IDA Kerala State WDC and Dr. Sherine Thomas, Hon. Secretary IDA Kerala State WDC, enlightened the audience about Project SANRAKSHAN and a video on "Good Touch - Bad Touch" was released on the occasion.
Dr. Kunjamma Thomas, Former Principal GDC Calicut spoke on "Dental trauma management and basic First aid in schools".
More than 200 smart and enthusiastic students from GHSS, Medical College campus, teachers and parents also attended the talk. The event was honoured with the presence of branch President, Hon. Secretary, WDC representatives, Past Presidents IDA Malabar, Executive committee members, faculty from Calicut Dental college and branch members.
