Bhowanipur Rupchand Sporting Club

We have channeled our endeavors in a way that they benefit the society, at least, to some extent.

Born out of the patriotic zeal of some devoted youngsters, during the height of India's nationalistic movements in 1946, Bhowanipur Rupchand Sporting Club has always played an active role in the movement of making the society better. We have organized many blood donation camps, health check-up camps and sit and draw competitions. In the last couple of years we have planted over a hundred saps in t

he neighboring areas. Organizing eye check-up camps in collaboration with Dr. Nihar Munshi (Eye Foundation) and an environmental consciousness camp with West Bengal Pollution Control Board have been the two biggest milestones in the journey that we have undertaken. These endeavors are our stepping stones towards building a greener, healthier and better community in our beloved 'para'. However, none of our efforts would have been so hugely successful if we did not receive the unbound support of 'Kolkata Vivek' – a social welfare group.
