As informed that one Tapas Kumar Mondal, residing at Shantinagar School para, Mohonpore,distt.24 pgns, the constrained to submit the complaint for your immediate kind intervention.
This complaint arises from persistent acts of cruelty, abuse, criminal intimidation, and domestic violence inflicted upon Tapas Kumar Mondal and his aged, paralysed mother by his legally wedded wife, Smt. Aparna karmakar.Since their marriage the conduct of his wife has been oppressive, violent and abusive.She has consistently refused to participate in house hold responsibility or provide any care to his mother a senior citizen who has suffered two brain strokes and is fully dependent.
Despite his request she has prohibited the appointment of any care giver or domestic help and frequently issues threats to his younger brother who resides with them.
That on 15/12/24, while Tapas was administering medicine to his bedridden mother, Aparna karmakar (wife) assaulted him, causing visible injuries.He refrained from reporting the incident formally at that time expecting reforms in her behaviour.However on 20/4/25, She again assaulted Tapas,this time with more force striking him at his waist and causing serious pain and mobility issues.He then left incapacitated and sought medical attention, This promted him to lodge a formal complaint.
Accordingly on 04/ 05/25 submitted a written complaint to Mohonpore police station.The complaint was registered under case No.73/25 under section 11 (2)of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 & Section 24 of Maintenance and welfare of parents and Senior Citizen Act 2007, however it was shocking to learn that the accused, despite these grave allegation was granted bail the same day reportedly using her personal connection with local police.
It is further alleged that the accused is involved in an extramarital relationship with one Mr.Rakesh Mishra, police officer currently serving under Barrackpore Police Commissionerate.It is deeply concerning that "Whats App".. chat records indicates a personal relationship between the said officer and the accused, raising serious questions about the impartiality of the investigation and undue influence exercised insecuring bail. Such conduct not only undermines the integrity of the police force but also sends a dangerous message to other personal. It appears that the officer in question has misused his position and betrayed the ethics of his office.I urge your office to look in to these messages, which is prepared to submit as evidence.
That the accused lady has demanded huge money from the victim and trying to dispose the family members illegally from their house which stands in the name of Tapas Mondal's mother.
Given the pattern of violence, economic coercion, and harrasment, humbly request you for urgent action.
