Project- *NATIONAL HANDLOOM DAY*
Venue- Barsangaon near polytechnic
Total no of students- 13

The Guides of the Bharat Scouts and Guides new bongaigaon district association, N.F Railway organised a Handloom Project to create awareness among the Guides about the importance of handloom and traditional weaving. The activity helped the students understand the weaving process, appreciate our rich cultural heritage, and learn about the hard work of handloom artisans. It was an informative and meaningful activity that encouraged creativity, skill development, and respect for traditional crafts.

Although the project was scheduled for 7th August 2026, we conducted the activity today, 25th August 2026.

*The Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Bongaigaon District Association, N.F. Railway* , conducted an informative earthquake mock drill at Marry’s Convent Public School.

The drill focused on educating students about earthquake safety, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures and the importance of staying calm during disasters.

The members of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway, New Bongaigaon (NBQ) District Association enthusiastically observed World Scout Scarf Day 2026 by participating in various activities. As part of the celebration, members renewed their Scout/Guide Promise while wearing the Scout Scarf, reaffirming their commitment to the principles of Scouting and Guiding.
They also creatively showcased their Scout Scarves through photographs,videos and activities, highlighting the pride, unity, and spirit of the Scout Movement. The celebration reflected the members' dedication to the values of Scouting and their continued commitment to service and brotherhood/sisterhood.
