On the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, New Bongaigaon District Association organized a cultural program with great enthusiasm and respect. The program began with paying tribute to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Rangers, Guides, and Bulbuls actively participated in the celebration.
Various cultural performances such as dances and songs were presented by the participants. Speeches highlighting the life, works, and ideals of Rabindranath Tagore were also delivered. Sweets were distributed among all participants and guests. The program concluded successfully in a joyful and respectful atmosphere.

On Earth Day 2026, under the theme “Our Planet, Our Power,” the Guides and Rangers of the The Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Bongaigaon District Association, NF Railway State, actively participated in various activities. Plantation was done at home using reused materials, along with making handicrafts from waste, writing poems and slogans, creating drawings, and conserving energy by switching off lights and unplugging devices, reflecting their commitment to environmental protection. 🌎 🌱

Guides of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Bongaigaon District Association, actively participated in a Camp Craft program with great enthusiasm and team spirit. The event was organized to develop practical outdoor skills and strengthen cooperation among all Guide companies. Each company showcased their camp setups, including tent pitching, gadget making, and proper campsite management, reflecting their discipline and creativity.
The Guides demonstrated various camp craft techniques such as knotting, lashing, and building useful camp gadgets using natural resources. They also explained the importance of cleanliness, safety, and teamwork in a camp environment. The program provided an excellent platform for the Guides to learn essential life skills, leadership qualities, and self-reliance.
The activity was both educational and inspiring, helping the Guides understand the value of preparedness, cooperation, and respect for nature. It was a successful and enriching experience for all participants. ⚜️💚⛺

HIKE REPORT
Date: 16th April 2024

Organized by: Rovers of the Netaji Open rovers crew

A hike was successfully organized on 16th April 2026 by the Rovers. The hike commenced from New Bongaigaon Scout Hut to Rakhal Mandir, Barshangaon
All participating Rovers assembled on time and started their journey with proper discipline and enthusiasm. Upon reaching the destination and conducted various activities by the Rovers to enhance teamwork, leadership, and practical skills.

In addition to these activities, a Nature Study session was carried out, where participants observed the natural surroundings and gained knowledge about the local environment.

The entire program was conducted smoothly and successfully. After completing all scheduled activities, the team safely returned to the Scout Hut by the afternoon.

The hike proved to be both educational and enjoyable, contributing to the overall development of the Rovers.
