The recent heinous crime against an innocent animal in Lachit Nagar, Guwahati has left all the animal lovers in shock and anger. The dog, named Durga, was attacked by a group of people, and the bystanders, instead of stopping them, egged on the four culprits to keep up the 'good work'. Though animal activists reached the spot to rescue Durga, she succumbed to her injuries, few days after the incident.
The law has failed us again as even after filing an FIR the culprits are still roaming freely. The animal activists as well as the animal lovers have planned to gather at the Dharna Ground to show their disappointment at the verdict and the law's failure at delivering justice for the innocent voiceless animal.
Team Action for Animals requests all the animal lovers to please support the cause by attending the rally today at the given address at 3:30 pm. Durga may have lost her life but she awaits her justice 🙏
