Last Saturday’s weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Bolpur Santiniketan will remain etched in our hearts for a long time to come.

As the home club of our beloved Asim Kanti Adhikary, it was both an honour and an emotional privilege to felicitate him on the eve of his journey to the International Assembly, USA—a journey not just across oceans, but towards greater responsibility, leadership, and service.

The evening unfolded through music, warmth, and shared memories—each note echoing our pride, each applause carrying our best wishes. It was a celebration of a Rotarian whose journey from within our club to the global stage stands as an inspiration to every member.

Dear Rotarians,

We are delighted to inform you that our upcoming weekly meeting on Saturday, 16th August 2025 will feature a special Health Awareness Program for Senior Citizens, organized in cooperation with Narayana Multi-speciality Hospital, Howrah.

Two eminent experts will be addressing us:

Dr. Kaushik Majumdar – delivering an insightful talk on Health in Senior Citizens.

Clinical Psychologist Chandrima Roy Banerjee – speaking on Understanding the Elderly Mind.

This is a unique opportunity not just for our members, but also for our friends, family members, and acquaintances who may benefit from such expert guidance. We strongly encourage you to bring along seniors from your family or community so they can gain first-hand knowledge and inspiration from these distinguished speakers.

In addition, Narayana Multi-speciality Hospital will offer the possibility for pre-screened patients to be reviewed by their team, making this program even more impactful for those in need.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 pm, and we look forward to a full house—both for the learning and the fellowship this event will bring.

Basanti Tudu and Sumitra Tudu being felicitated at Rotary Club Bolpur Santiniketan weekly meeting yesterday. They are from Sahebdanga, a tribal village near Bolpur. First women from their community in the village to pass the Higher Secondary Exam. One was a mother during her exam and the other broke down in tears while narrating her travails during her school days.
