𝘼 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙙 𝙈𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
We are pleased to share that Dr. Debdip Ganguly Dr. Debdip Ganguly - Maxillofacial Surgeon , President of Hope Care Heal Foundation and a Praktani of Visva-Bharati Visva Bharati , was invited to and participated in “Samanvaya – Visva-Bharati Praktani Sabha 2026”, held at Santiniketan on 29–30 August 2026.
The gathering brought together distinguished Praktanis from India and abroad to reconnect with the legacy and ideals of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, share their experiences, exchange meaningful ideas, and discuss how alumni can contribute to the future progress of Visva-Bharati and society.
During the World Café-format discussions, Dr. Debdip Ganguly highlighted the need for greater awareness and focused intervention in the areas of health, nutrition and education, particularly in the villages and semi-urban areas of Birbhum.
He also participated in the alumni-led discussion, “Future Forward: Alumni as Partners in Progress,” where he expressed the readiness of Hope Care Heal Foundation to collaborate with Visva-Bharati’s Department of Social Work and other interdisciplinary departments for initiatives aimed at community welfare and social development.
As a Praktani, Dr. Ganguly emphasized that alumni can play an active role not only in preserving the heritage of Visva-Bharati, but also in contributing their experience, expertise and resources towards meaningful service to society.
He further proposed the development and strengthening of PM Hospital with the vision of serving people more effectively, inspired by the lifelong dedication of our mentor, Dr. Pradip Ganguly, Pradip Ganguly towards the betterment and welfare of society.
The Visva-Bharati Praktani Sabha 2026 was a landmark initiative, described by the University as its first-ever alumni gathering of this scale, reaching out to nearly 500 distinguished Praktanis from India and abroad. The initiative sought to engage alumni as valued partners in Visva-Bharati’s continuing academic, cultural and social mission.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Probir Kumar Ghosh , and the entire organising team for their vision, enthusiasm and efforts in creating such a meaningful platform for the Praktani community.
It was inspiring to witness alumni from diverse fields come together, share their journeys, reflect upon the ideas of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, and contribute valuable thoughts towards the development of this esteemed University and its continued service to humanity.
At Hope Care Heal Foundation , we look forward to meaningful collaborations that can translate such discussions into impactful initiatives for health, education, nutrition and community welfare.
