Celebrating Strength, Skill, and the Power of Inclusion

On 1st July 2026, Community Catalysts Foundation (CCF) and Civilian Welfare Foundation jointly hosted the State Women's Para Swimming Championship -2026, in collaboration with Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan — an event that brought together para-women athletes to showcase their talent, determination, and resilience.

At CCF, we believe that true empowerment comes from creating equal opportunities for everyone to participate, compete, and excel. This championship stood as a testament to that belief, offering a meaningful platform for para-athletes to be recognized for their skill and spirit, not their limitations.

We sincerely thank Visva Bharati for their collaboration and valuable support in making this event possible, and we congratulate every participant for their outstanding performance and courage.

For the first time ever, a State-level Women Para Swimming Championship is going to be held in Santiniketan as well as in the Birbhum district. This landmark event is being organized by Community Catalysts Foundation (CCF) and Civilian Welfare Foundation (CWF) in collaboration with Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan—the only Central University of West Bengal and the World's First Living Heritage University.

This championship is not merely a sporting event; it is a celebration of courage, resilience, and inclusion. Women para-athletes from across West Bengal will come together to showcase their talent, determination, and indomitable spirit.

Throwback to CCF’s First Initiative
Every journey begins with a first step. Looking back at the very first initiative of Community Catalysts Foundation (CCF), where we supported local women artisans of Santiniketan during Pous Mela, Santiniketan (23rd–28th December 2025).

Through this initiative, CCF provided a platform for artisans engaged in Kantha Stitch, Batik Art, Gahana Bori, handmade bags, lac-based toys, and other traditional crafts to showcase their art, sell their products, and create market linkages on a larger platform.

We are proud that all profits from the sales were transferred directly to the participating women artisans, ensuring direct economic benefit and encouraging self-reliance.

A small beginning, yet a meaningful step toward women’s empowerment and preserving local heritage.

Across many last-mile regions, communities continue to face barriers to opportunity, representation, and sustainable growth despite their immense resilience and potential. We believe meaningful transformation must be built with communities through participation, dignity, and local leadership.

As an initial step in this journey, CCF is initiating its grassroots engagement with the most deprived populations in Birbhum district, West Bengal, with focused interventions in Health, Education, Livelihoods, and Sports & Youth Engagement.
