Sometimes it’s not life that makes us heavy…
it’s our ego.
We get so busy protecting our image that we forget our essence.

Before the pride.
Before the comparison.
Before the need to prove.

You were once a child happy over small things,
present without trying, pure without effort.

What if the real glow up is not becoming “more”
but returning to who you were before the world told you who to be?

Drop the ego.
Pick up your innocence.
That’s the real flex. 🌿

Dr. Barry Kerzin’s Weekly Words of Wisdom: If you think you’re not important, spend a night with a mosquito. Tiny, but powerful! Agitate, resist! If the mosquito left your room after the first whoosh, she’d never get the blood she needed for food to survive. If we don’t stand up with love and compassion, fierce when needed, our way of life will disappear. Stand up and be seen and heard. From a quieted ego perspective feeling the injustice, make your voice heard. Do whatever nonviolent action you can creatively inspire, for the benefit of all kind mother sentient beings. Let’s come together and unite. United we stand, divided we fall. We are at a crossroads. The world is changing rapidly. The powerful and rich are aggressively acquiring more power and wealth at the expense of ordinary hardworking people like you and me. Daily groceries, and other necessities are becoming more expensive day by day. Mother earth is crying. She is under assault. Diversity of life is on the decline. Stand up and make your voice heard. Bring back decency and dialogue. Eschew disinformation. Speak the truth, respectfully with courage.🦟

Dr. Barry Kerzin’s Weekly Words of Wisdom: Complete relaxation maintaining alertness has many levels. We can relax the body, while remaining alert, not falling asleep, while keeping the body still. We can relax our talking. This gives our jaw, tongue, and voice-box muscles a break. Here we enter the realm of silence. Even though vocally silent, our thinking mind may still be chattering away! Take several slow deep breaths to clear some of the mental chatter. This may not happen right away, but with continuous practice, mental chatter will reduce. Reduce mental chatter by cutting down on stimulants, like caffeine, ni****ne, and sugar. Get nourishing sleep. In the hour or so before bedtime, chill. Too much excitement prior to sleep can interrupt sleep. Exercise regularly. All this assists coming home to our natural mind, beyond concepts. The body, speech, and mind are still. We radiate joy, love, and wisdom.🌬️

Dr. Barry Kerzin’s Weekly Words of Wisdom: Feeling “not good enough” is actually more “me, me, me” selfish attitude. It is concerned with only me. Feeling guilty is wasted energy that makes us feel small. Letting go of feeling “not good enough” is trainable. This feeling of being “not good enough” was imposed upon us as a kid by someone else. We were told this again and again, until we began to “own it” as our own. We were told, “you are a girl; you can’t do that.” Or, “you’re not smart,” or, “you’re not pretty,” or, “you’re clumsy,” or, “you’re not good.” Remind yourself again and again that this self-deprecation was imposed. It doesn’t belong to you. Thus, we have every right to kick it out. When insecurity arises, don’t react to it. Rather, just observe it. Practice this again and again. Do not embellish this destroyer of our inner peace. Gradually by not reacting, and not embellishing, this destroyer of peace will lose its power over us. We will find a newborn self-confidence and joy.🌤️
