General Body Election 2026 Successfully Conducted

The General Body Election of the District Bilaspur Chess Association (DBCA) was successfully conducted today, 5 August 2026, at Hotel Kehloor, Bilaspur, in a free, fair, and transparent manner under the supervision of the Returning Officer, Adv. Madan Rana.

The election proceedings were witnessed by observers from the Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association (HPSCA) and the District Youth Services & Sports Office (DYSSO), Bilaspur.

The following office bearers were elected as members of the:

🔹 General Secretary: Mr. Jasbir Singh Thakur
🔹 Treasurer: Mr. Shukdev

The District Bilaspur Chess Association (DBCA) proudly and successfully hosted the Late Shri D.K. Gupta Memorial Open Chess Tournament – 2026 today at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from talented chess players from different districts of Himachal Pradesh, making the event highly competitive and memorable. The event was organized in the loving memory of Late Shri D.K. Gupta ji, a veteran chess player and great promoter of chess in Bilaspur, whose contribution to the chess community continues to inspire generations.

DBCA expresses sincere gratitude to all players, parents, arbiters, volunteers, supporters, and chess lovers for making this tournament a grand success.
