The Himachal Pradesh State Senior Women Chess Championship was successfully held at Bilaspur on 8–9 November. The event witnessed strong participation from across the state and highlighted the growing enthusiasm and competitive spirit among women chess players in Himachal Pradesh.
The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Shasi Pal Sharma, SDM Bhoranj, who encouraged the players and appreciated the efforts of the organizers in promoting chess at the grassroots level. He emphasized the importance of mental sports like chess in developing discipline, strategic thinking, and confidence among youth.
The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Chief Arbiter Mr. Jasbir Singh Thakur, with Deputy Chief Arbiter Mr. Anil Sharma and Arbiter Ms. Nina Keshav assisting in ensuring fair and smooth conduct of games.
Key office bearers of the District Bilaspur Chess Association were present during the championship, including President Mr. Prakash Chand Acharya, along with Mr. Jeevan Das, Mr. Dheeraj Vasu, and Mr. Amit Sharma, who contributed to the successful organization of the event.

1. Pallak Thakur – Hamirpur (Champion)
2. Snigdha Sharma – Hamirpur (Runner-Up)
3. Arshya Choudhary – Kangra
4. Cheryl Verma – Hamirpur
5. Divanshi Sharma – Shimla
The championship concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where winners were felicitated for their outstanding performance
