A meaningful morning at Chicha Wetland, Durg filled with birds, teamwork, and responsibility towards nature. Along with documenting more than 25+ species of waterbirds (60+ total bird species), our volunteers collectively removed more than 12 kg of plastic waste, helping restore the wetland ecosystem. ♻️🌏

Heartfelt thanks to Mr. Raju Verma for his guidance as a bird expert who shared his knowledge and experience with the young minds. A big thanks to Mr. Indeevar Shukla, National Co-Convener-SFD for his constant support and encouragement throughout the event.
Special appreciation to Mr. Dushyant Sahu and Mr. Dinesh Manhare for their active involvement and on-ground coordination, which made the cleanliness drive impactful and successful.

Grateful to every participant who showed up early, contributed sincerely, and proved that small actions create big change. 💚🦢

Tribute to the 'Mother' who was born in rural Karnataka, she spent decades turning a barren 4 km stretch into 300+ banyan trees, walking miles every day to water and protect each sapling. Long before "sustainability" became a word, she was quietly practising it with her hands, her grit, and her whole life.
Her work earned her the Padma Shri, a place in the BBC's 100 Most Influential Women, an Honorary Doctorate, global recognition, and an identity- Mother of Trees, that was the most precious achievement for her yet she always said she was "just doing her duty to the earth."

Her legacy isn't just environmental.
It's a reminder that ordinary people can leave extraordinary footprints if they decide to nurture, not consume.
