Scientists recently looked at dried Goldenrod plants from the 1800s and compared them to the plants growing today. The result was startling: The protein content in the pollen had dropped by one-third. While the plants look the same, they have been "diluted." Bees are essentially starving on full stomachs because the pollen is no longer nutritious.

Why is this happening? Rising CO2 levels act like "sugar" for plants. It forces them to grow faster and larger, packing their tissues with extra starches and sugars while dropping their essential protein and mineral content.

Our environment is accidentally forcing our crops into a "Junk Food Diet." Even organic produce is facing this invisible nutritional challenge. The plants are getting "empty calories," and so are our children.
