Envestnet inter Zone women's T 20 cricket tournament for the blind 2025 started today at Bangalore in Altiore oval cricket ground. In this tournament 4 zonal team East,West,South and North zone team are participating. Cricket association for the Blind in India has started the selection process for the upcoming 1st women's T20 cricket world cup for the blind 2025 to be held at India and Nepal from 11 November 2025 CABI has selected best 56 player from 4 zone having 14 player from each zone. In Envestnet inter zone cricket tournament will be concluded on 22nd of August 2025 from 23rd to 4th September players will be in the national training camp. On the basis of performance in the inter zone tournament and national camp the 17 members Indian Blind women's cricket team will be selected for the said world cup.
In the East zone women cricket team there are 9 player's out 14 are from odisha. They are,

2 Basanti hansda
3 Jhili Birua
4 Padmini Tudu
5 Jamuna rani Tudu
6 mamina Naik
7 Rachana Jena
8 Parbati marndi( WK)
9 Sukanti dalapati.
10 Bilma sandil( Jharkhand)
11 Pratima Ghosh (west bengal)
12 Mehek Lakra ( West bengal)
13 Anu Sharma (Bihar) and 14 Usha Singh (Jharkhand)

Phula saren of odisha is leading the east zone women as captain and Basanti Hansda of odisha is the Vice caption.
Today in the 1st league match of east zone against west zone captain phula won the toss and elected to bat 1st. In stipulated 20 overs east zone scored 147/9 with the contribution of phula saren 34 Basanti 32 Parvati marndi 24 and Bilma sandil 22. In reply west zone scored 135/10 in 18.5 overs and east zone won by 12 run. For east zone Jamunarani Tudu and Rachana Jena took 1 wicket each, other 8 wickets were run outs. For the all round performance in the match Captain Phula saren declared player of the match. Today in the other league match South zone beats North zone in it's 1st league match. Tomorrow East zone will take on South zone, and North Zone, will take on West zone, in their respective league matches.

We are grateful and happy that the Visually Impaired Cricketers of Odisha received recognition through cash award for winning the Gold and Silver medals in IBSA world game 2023 for our Country . I thank the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Department of Sports and youth Services Odisha and all the esteemed officials in the government of Odisha for supporting us throughout. This is the best example where we are treated the same way like the other sportspersons. This is an another milestone where we are honored and we felt that we are included in the mainstream society.
