SVLL India SVLL is an initiative taken by KIIT University students with the motive of implementing technology to tackle the problems faced in the villages of India

Smart Village Living Lab is a network of Open Innovation enthusiasts from Academia and Business with its hub in a few villages in Nischintakoili Block of Cuttack District, in Odisha, a South Eastern State of India. Locally coordinated by the Open Innovation Research division of School of Applied Sciences, KIIT University; this Rural Living Lab’s current focus is on Education, Water, Energy, Enviro

nment and Affordable Housing sectors. This lab actually aims in narrowing the gap between rich and poor, to provide the basic amenities to the villagers which they need to acquire in their daily life, putting our research work into action and also to promote cultural diversity and healthy ecosystem. This plan is being carried out by several undergraduate and post-graduate students’ projects and ideas. The Smart Village Living Lab is a network of a group of academicians, students, representatives from industry, businesses and members of village community. Presently hosted at School of Applied Sciences of KIIT University, Bhubaneswar in India; it functions through several collaborators, advisors, all across the Globe; many of whom are Living Lab experts.
