Mr. P.K. Dhal has been invited as a resource person for a four-day training program ( 18-21) March 2025 on the adoption and certification of organic farming of horticultural crops under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) in Rayagada. The training covered various aspects, including the process of organic crop production, preparation of organic fertilizers and manures, pest management, as well as harvesting and post-harvest practices.

I had the opportunity to visit the rubber processing unit in Gajapati District, where I interacted with the beneficiaries and gained insights into the processing activities. It was encouraging to learn that they have a captive market with buyers providing advance payments. By dedicating 3-4 hours of effort daily, the beneficiaries are earning an additional Rs 12-14k per month.
