We are pleased to share that B2V formalized an MoU with Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, in the presence of Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Textiles, Government of India.
Through this collaboration, B2V will promote the farming of milkweed as a sustainable and climate-resilient alternative source of fabric. Milkweed offers strong promise as a fibre that is lightweight, thermally insulating, biodegradable, and aligned with the need for materials that support both environmental sustainability and resilient rural livelihoods.
This partnership reflects our commitment to linking climate resilience, innovation, and livelihood opportunities at the grassroots.

He’ll share valuable insights on how Rural Tourism can empower farmers - especially landless, small, and marginal ones - as a powerful alternative source of income.

The Department of Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs, Uttar Pradesh, will present the “Viksit UP 2047” One-Day Tourism Workshop on November 27, 2025, at Yojana Bhawan, Lucknow. Panel Discussion 2 will feature “Tourism Vision 2047.” Topics will include Eco Wildlife Tourism, Sustainable Tourism, and others, with a focus on the key initiative.

When a remote tribal village - tucked deep in the forests and far from any urban sprawl - finds a new purpose and pride, the joy it brings is beyond words. With a mission to 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐛 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and generate meaningful livelihoods within the village itself, we joined hands with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to develop a 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥/𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 initiative in the districts of Betul and Chhindwara.
Today, seeing the vibrant welcome signboards standing tall at the village entrances is a moment of profound fulfilment. These aren’t just signposts -they’re symbols of self-reliance. Tribal women can now contribute to their family incomes through community-based hospitality, craft, and cultural experiences - all without leaving their homes or compromising their daily responsibilities. These aren't just photos of homestays; they're snapshots of a quiet revolution blooming in the heart of rural India. Meet the incredible women of Bancha, a tribal village in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, who are rewriting their destinies and redefining what's possible.

When Back to Village (B2V) arrived in Bancha with a vision for Tribal Tourism (a scheme of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board), many doubted. "Who would come here?" they asked, seeing no grand monuments or bustling attractions. But we saw something far more powerful: a village united, where every decision is a collective one, driven by cooperation and a shared spirit. This was the magic ingredient, cultivated over decades by dedicated leaders like मोहन नागर जी (currently MoS, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh), who nurtured social champions such as Anil Uikey Ji (last photo) and Pavan Parte Ji. आज हमारे लिए एक ऐतिहासिक दिन रहा! बैतूल ज़िले के बांचा और छिंदवाड़ा ज़िले के देवगढ़ गांवों में बने 6 नए होमस्टे का उद्घाटन मध्य प्रदेश के माननीय मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. मोहन यादव द्वारा किया गया।
इनमें से 5 होमस्टे आभासी रूप से (virtually) उद्घाटित हुए, जबकि “धुर्वे जी होमस्टे” (देवगढ़) का LIVE उद्घाटन हुआ, जहाँ मुख्यमंत्री जी ने होमस्टे संचालिका श्रीमती कविता धुर्वे से सीधा संवाद किया।
इस उद्घाटन के साथ, B2V के कुल निर्मित होमस्टे की संख्या 16 हो गई है, जो ग्रामीण आत्मनिर्भरता, आदिवासी संस्कृति और सामुदायिक पर्यटन का जीवंत उदाहरण है।
आज राज्य भर के 17 होमस्टे (विभिन्न संगठनों द्वारा बनाए गए) का उद्घाटन हुआ, परंतु केवल 2 होमस्टे को माननीय मुख्यमंत्री से सीधा संवाद का अवसर मिला—और B2V का एक होमस्टे उनमें शामिल था।
यह सिर्फ हमारा नहीं, हमारी ग्रामीण बहनों और आदिवासी समुदाय की मेहनत व समर्पण का सम्मान है।

Today ‘Saal Leaf Pattal (Plate) & Dona (bowl) Making Center’ got inaugurated by Shri Upendra Luha (Sub-Collector, Athmallik) and Shri Santosh Kumar Sahu (BDO, Athmallik) at Hariharpur village of Angul (Odisha). The unit will be operated & managed by Grampati SHG of Hariharpur village. This livelihood project is a CSR initiative of Ecozen Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (Pune). Under this project, we’ll set-up 4 micro processing units, preferably for women where they can come and work in their free time and earn. This was the first such unit, 3 more will be set-up soon.

Mahali is one of the two major communities in Odisha having skills in bamboo crafts. There are few small villages/hamlets of Mahalis in Athmallik block (Angul, Odisha). They reached out to us few days ago and requested if we can organize some design development training for them so that their income gets increased. Today when NABARD DDM (Angul, Odisha) came to visit our Watershed project, we requested him to visit this hamlet and meet these people. He happily agreed and had a very engaging discussion with the community people. Hope for positive response soon.
