Health is the greatest wealth.

And good health is the foundation of a happy life. To promote this idea, a free health camp was organised at OTV Network’s Tarang Studio in association with CARE Hospitals. In this camp, hundreds of people from nearby areas received health checkups and consultations from expert doctors.

Many people who came to the camp appreciated this initiative. This free health camp reflects OTV’s commitment to public service and awareness.

OTV will continue such initiatives in the future as well.

Empowerment through beauty!

The Hair & Skin and Makeup training under the OTV Cares Skill Development Program, executed by ASMI Skills Institute, concluded with a special felicitation ceremony on 6th June.

A step toward self-reliance and real change.

Under the OTV Cares Skill Development Program, 60 young women completed a 45-day hands-on training in General Duty Assistant and Front Office Management, in partnership with IIG Varsity.

The graduation wasn’t just about certificates. For many, it marked their first step out of uncertainty and toward independence.

Several speakers shared inspiring messages, noting how the program has reignited hope in at least 60 families.

These women now carry skills, confidence, and the drive to shape their own futures.

OTV had the privilege of hosting Dr. Mitalee Kar, Senior Consultant in Neurology at CARE Hospitals, Bhubaneswar, for an insightful session on mental health awareness at Odisha Television Network.
She shared practical guidance on managing stress, strengthening emotional resilience, and maintaining a balanced mindset. The session deeply resonated with our team and reinforced the importance of prioritising mental well-being.

Against All Odds: The Journey of Omm Prasad Baliarsingh

In 2005, Srusil Kumar Baliarsingh, an auto driver from Barapada village in Begunia Block, lost his elder son to blood cancer. Unable to afford treatment, the loss left a lasting impact, but also sparked a promise: to see his younger son, Omm, become a doctor and help those who couldn’t afford care.

Years later, Omm is fulfilling that promise. Despite financial hardship, he secured 86% in Class 12 and ranked 62 in NEET (General Category), earning a seat at MKCG Medical College.
While his admission was supported by a government merit grant, the remaining costs of medical education remained out of reach. That’s where stepped in.

Through the , Omm now has the financial support he needs to continue his studies without interruption.

His journey, from a remote village to a government medical college, is a powerful reminder of what determination, family support, and timely help can achieve.

We wish Omm continued success and hope he carries this spirit of compassion forward in his journey as a doctor.
