I am an and I ask myself everyday...

An Open Letter to Every Indian 🇮🇳
This is not against any political party, religion, caste, ideology, or individual.
It is a reminder that before we are supporters, critics, voters, or followers…
We are citizens....
Serving Governments (not ruling) will change.
Serving Political Representatives will change.
India will remain.

A river is meant to flow, but the Arpa River in Bilaspur is suffocating under a thick blanket of water hyacinth. 🛑 Driven by untreated sewage and fertilizer runoff, this overgrowth is killing aquatic life and elevating city flood risks.
Nature works in a domino effect—when we harm one part, the rest collapses. 📉
Save your rivers before they die. 🌊

In an era dominated by chemical-laden toothbrushes and the hidden dangers of microplastics, it is refreshing to return to our roots. Lalita ji is keeping a timeless tradition alive by selling neem datun. Choosing this natural, biodegradable alternative isn't just about oral hygiene—it’s a powerful, eco-friendly step toward reducing plastic waste and embracing a healthier, sustainable lifestyle.

Small steps for a greener planet! 🌍 It’s heartening to see Pradip Pramanik serving delicious idly and breakfast items in traditional Sal & Palash leaf plates, proving that eco-friendly choices can be simple and impactful. Every leaf plate is a step away from plastic waste. 🌱

CRISIS ON THE GROUND
Drowning in Waste in Jharsuguda
Look closely at these images from Btm Colony and Ekatali along the Sambalpur - Rourkela Road in Jharsuguda, Odisha.
This isn't just an eyesore; it’s an environmental and public health ticking time bomb.

1 - Choked Ecosystems
As captured in photo, open green spaces are completely smothered under layers of single-use plastics and household garbage.

2 - Disregarded Protections
Even areas designated for plantation under the Jharsuguda Forest Division and local residential spots have been turned into informal dumping grounds.

3 - Infrastructure Breakdown
The roadside drainage system is entirely compromised. As shown in photos, these critical pathways are blocked by heavy debris, plastic sheets, and stones, creating stagnant breeding grounds for disease and guaranteed urban flooding during rains.

4 - Public Health Hazard
Even the surroundings of essential public utilities are accumulating filth.

Solution

To transform this area from a landfill back into a living community space, a dual approach of municipal accountability and community mobilization is urgently required.

1. Immediate Relief Measures

Drainage Desilting & Clearing

The municipal corporation must immediately clear the heavy rocks, plastic sheets, and debris blocking the channels seen in photo. Unblocking these ensures stormwater flows freely and prevents localized flooding.

Mass Clean-up Drives

Organize a collaborative waste collection drive involving local municipal workers and Climate Warrior volunteers to clear the topsoil plastics visible in photo.

2. Infrastructure & Structural Fixes

Install Waste Bins and Fencing

Place high-capacity, segregated dustbins (dry vs. wet waste) near public facilities and forest division zones. Fencing off vulnerable open fields will deter drive-by littering.

CCTV and 'Blackspot' Monitoring

Install warning signs and CCTV cameras in high-dumping areas to penalize commercial and residential violators who dump municipal solid waste illegally.

3. Long-Term Community & Policy Changes

Door-to-Door Segregated Collection

Ensure regular municipal waste pickup vehicles arrive daily in Btm Colony so residents are not forced to discard waste in open plots

The "3R" Community Model

Implement a local community-led awareness program focusing on Reducing single-use plastics, Reusing materials, and enforcing localized Recycling networks.

The bitter irony of modern agriculture on display near Bisra Chowk road. We put chemicals on fields to grow more, then we spoil all the fruits. This massive pile of unsold mangoes rotting by the New Bus Stand is a stark reminder of what happens when we focus entirely on production but have zero systems in place to handle market surplus.
