Children’s Day Celebration | 14.11.2025

On 14th November 2025, the Child and Women Development Society (CWDS) celebrated Children’s Day at Chintamanisai Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir with a joyful blend of learning, interaction, and celebration.

A First Aid Training session was conducted by Dr. Bikash Prasad, Master Trainer, CWDS, empowering children with essential life-saving skills. This was followed by an interactive Q & A session, where children enthusiastically engaged, asked questions, and shared their thoughts.

To encourage and appreciate young talent, medals were distributed to the children, adding excitement and motivation to the celebration. The day also marked the birthday celebration of Mitali, which was joyfully observed by cutting the cake and serving meals to all children, in the gracious presence of Major Prof. Dr. Kalpana Das, Chairperson, CWDS.

Celebrating Compassion on the Birthday of Ms. Shallu Jindal

On the special occasion of the birthday of Ms. Shallu Jindal,
Chairperson, Jindal Foundation & Chancellor, O.P. Jindal University,
the Child and Women Development Society (CWDS) marked the day with love, service, and shared joy.

As part of the celebration, clothes and nutritious food meals were distributed to children, inmates, and senior citizens, spreading warmth and smiles across seven care institutions. The celebrations included heartfelt cake-cutting ceremonies, making the day truly memorable for all.

Celebrating Odia Pakhya with Pride & Purpose!

A special workshop at Red Cross Bhawan marked the eve of Odia Pakhya, highlighting the richness of Odia language, literature, and culture, while also promoting the noble cause of voluntary blood donation through the Mega Blood Donation Drive.

The event was graced by the Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Dept. as Chief Guest, with Major Dr. Kalpana Das as Guest of Honour. The Honorary Secretary of Odisha Red Cross presided over the event.

🎤 A powerful debate competition reflected the passion of over 200 youth volunteers advocating for the preservation of the Odia language.

75 units of blood were generously donated—an inspiring act of compassion and community spirit.
