BANDHUTWA | Celebrating the Installation Of RCB Friends ❤️🌹

An evening of gratitude, fellowship, and celebration marked the Installation Ceremony of Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Friends for Rotary Year 2026–27.

The occasion was graced by District Governor Rtn. Anil Kumar Samal, IAS (Retd.) as Chief Guest, whose presence and inspiring words added special significance to the celebration. The gathering was enriched by the presence of Past District Governors, Club Presidents and Secretaries, Rotarians from across the District, Friends of Rotary, AG Rtn. Balram Gupta, Zonal Chair Rtn. Sajjan Sureka, and distinguished guests.

Rotary International District 3262 congratulates President Rtn. Dharmendra Mohanty, Secretary Rtn. Prasant Biswal, and the entire team of RC Bhubaneswar Friends, for creating an evening that beautifully reflected the essence of Bandhutwa—friendship, fellowship and togetherness.

The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Heritage extended timely flood relief support at Jhalapada Panchayat, Jajpur Block, distributing 200 dry food packets containing Chuda (flattened rice), biscuits, and other essentials to affected families.

Building Positive Minds & Resilient Communities 💙🧠

The Mental Health Initiatives Rotary Action Group (MHIRAG) – RID 3262 organised a seminar on “Positive Mind: Stress Management and Resilience” in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, BJB Autonomous College, on 19 August 2026.

The session, held at the BJB College Auditorium, brought together around 120 undergraduate and postgraduate students for an open conversation on stress, anxiety, resilience, and work-life balance.

Rtn. Dr. Debadatta Mohapatra, Associate Professor of Psychiatry, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, led the session, with Dr. Santona Panda, Research Faculty, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, as co-facilitator. Students gained practical approaches to managing stress and were encouraged to speak openly about mental health.

The programme also marked the launch of the RAGMHI “Don’t Bottle It Up” Awareness Campaign, aimed at challenging the stigma surrounding mental health. Participating students took a pledge to Speak Up, Seek Help and Support Each Other.

Rotary International District 3262 appreciates the MHIRAG team and the coordinators Rtn. Dr. Arati Biswal, Rtn. Dr. Rekha Das and Rtn. Manik Sharma for championing mental well-being and creating a safe space for meaningful dialogue.

Rotary Stands Strong Beside Flood-Affected Communities 🌊🤝

The Rotary Club of Bhadrak has extended humanitarian support to flood-affected families in Bhadrak and Jajpur, particularly communities living along the Baitarani River.

Dry food and essential relief materials were handed over to Rtn. Bighneswar Behera for distribution among affected families, along with financial assistance to support the preparation and distribution of cooked food for those in need.

Rotary International District 3262 appreciates the initiative of Rtn. Indrajit Sahu and the entire Rotary Club of Bhadrak for their timely response and compassionate service during this difficult time.

Rangatuli | Celebrating Youth, Culture & Community Impact 🎨🌿

A vibrant celebration of youth, culture, creativity and social impact unfolded at Rangatuli, the flagship initiative of the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Meadows.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Hon’ble MP Smt. Aparajita Sarangi, while Hon’ble Mayor, BMC Smt. Sulochana Das graced the valedictory ceremony. District Governor Rtn. Anil Kumar Samal also joined the programme, appreciating the initiative for creating a strong public image of Rotary through meaningful youth engagement.

The occasion also celebrated Odisha’s rich indigenous heritage with the launch of the Dongria Kondh Embroidered Handmade Collection, organised by SPREAD and Koraput Handmade LLP. The beautiful craftsmanship of Dongria Kondh women brought their traditions, stories and cultural identity to the forefront.

District 3262 has successfully launched the Rotary Connect 360 Portal along with an AI Capacity Building Workshop, in partnership with Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL)—achieved within an impressive 45 days.

This initiative marks a significant step towards advancing digital learning, AI awareness, skill development, and enhanced employability across Odisha.

Heartfelt appreciation to OKCL, the E&IT Department, Government of Odisha, and the dedicated RID 3262 team whose collective efforts made this vision a reality.

Spreading Care, Sharing Smiles. ☔🍎💙

The Rotary Club of Dhauli, Bhubaneswar organised a thoughtful community service initiative by distributing umbrellas, fruits, and sweets to the children of a UP School.

The programme was held in the presence of District Governor Rtn. Anil Kumar Samal, PDG Rtn. Yagyansis Mohapatra, and members of the club, under the leadership of President Rtn. Ittun Arundhati Mohapatra.

Such simple acts of kindness can create lasting smiles and remind us that Service Above Self begins with caring for those around us.
