The Digital Farm School Paddy Single Location Video Conference Programme on “Land Preparation and Planting Methods” was successfully conducted in Balakati, Nahaguna, Bankhidi, and Janjali villages of Anandapur Block, Kendujhar district.

Scientist Arabinda Sahoo from the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment, Cuttack, joined virtually and interacted with farmers, addressing queries on land preparation, planting methods, and scientific farming practices. The session helped farmers strengthen their agricultural knowledge and improve farming techniques.

Implemented by Odisha Rising Foundation-ORF and supported by Reliance Foundation.

Team Capacity Building & Orientation Programme – Anandapur, Kendujhar

Odisha Rising Foundation-ORF successfully conducted a Team Capacity Building and Orientation Programme at the FIAC Conference Hall, Anandapur, supported by Reliance Foundation.

The session was attended by the Block Agriculture Officer (BAO) and ORF Chairman Akhaya Sagar & team members.

ORF proudly dedicated a poultry farm to the enterprise women of Baliapal Block in Balasore district in the presence of our Chairman, Director – O & S, Finance Manager, and inspiring community leaders.

This initiative marks a significant step towards women empowerment through entrepreneurship, enabling local women to become self-reliant. With focused efforts on value addition and strong market linkages, the initiative is set to enhance livelihoods and double their family incomes.

Empowering Rural Women. Transforming Livelihoods.

In Donkia village, Anandapur, Kalyani Patra (35) is redefining community leadership.

Trained in Ethno-Veterinary Medicine (EVM) by Odisha Rising Foundation-ORF, with support from Reliance Foundation, Kalyani is now a trusted Goat Cadre, providing affordable, timely care to livestock in her village.

When Kanchan Didi’s goat faced a life-threatening birthing complication, Kalyani stepped in with a traditional herbal solution — Apamaranga lepa.
The result? Both mother and kid survived.

Today, her work is creating real impact:
✔️ 150+ women supported
✔️ 5 villages covered
✔️ 300+ goats treated
✔️ Families saving ₹20,000–₹50,000 annually

This is what happens when local knowledge meets the right training.
This is what women-led change looks like.

"School Transformation in Kalahandi Aspirational District through STEM Clubs and STEM Corner.

In Kesinga block, STEM Clubs are making classrooms more active — students are experimenting, asking questions, and learning beyond textbooks.

In Dumerbahal, simple steps like home visits and engaging classrooms have brought children back to school and made them more involved in learning.

Different journeys, one common shift — more active classrooms, more confident students.

With support from Axis Bank and MANTRA under the Shikshagraha Programme, these changes are becoming part of everyday school life.

Coming together with local communities to clean and care for our water bodies has been a powerful reminder that change begins with collective action. Through initiative in Kendujhar district by Reliance Foundation and Odisha Rising Foundation-ORF, the entire community and the administration witnessed how small efforts—from removing waste to restoring water bodies —can lead to meaningful impact.
