Grateful to be part of the Cognizant Outreach H1 2026 Volunteers Get-Together & Recognition Ceremony held in Bhubaneswar this Wednesday, chaired by the center Head, Mr. Satish Kumar Pradhan. 💙

Celebrating the passion of volunteers, the strength of partnerships, and the impact created through diverse initiatives—from coding sessions for students and accessible tactile learning resources for visually impaired learners to beach clean-up drives and other community-led volunteering efforts.

It was especially inspiring to witness the confidence and empowerment of students from Raj Kishore Vidyapeeth, Arisal, and beneficiaries from Cuttack Blind School as they took the stage to showcase what they had learned—a true testament to the transformative power of volunteering and collaboration.

Odisha Rising Foundation, under its Premkunj Program organized a block level Community Engagement Program at the Semiliguda Block Hall to create mass awareness on the early identification of special children, decode government schemes, and spread knowledge about the RPWD Act, 2016.

We were honored to have the support of Semiliguda Block officials including Block Chairperson Mrs. Lili Antabiria, BSSO Mrs. Surabhi Sethy, BPM Ms. Swarnalata Mishra, and Mr. Prasant Tripathy.

The real heroes of the session were our grassroots warriors—MBKs, CRPs, Bank Mitra, Prani Mitra, and Sabujo Sathi—who are now better equipped to identify the 21 types of disabilities recognized by the Government of India and guide families toward available support systems.

Empowering Young Minds with Financial Skills for Life! 💡💰

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day 2026, more than 600 students students of Classes IX and X from Koraput, Kalahandi and Khurda Districts participated in an engaging Financial Literacy Orientation conducted by Young India Foundation.

The session introduced students to essential financial concepts such as saving, budgeting, responsible spending, digital payments, and informed financial decision-making. By equipping young learners with these practical life skills, the initiative aims to nurture financially aware, confident, and responsible citizens.

A sincere thank you to Young India Foundation for conducting this insightful session and inspiring students to build a strong foundation for their financial future.

Shiksha Samvaad was never meant to be just another event. It was meant to be a conversation that inspires action.

For three days, the UDAAN Learning Camps filled classrooms with curiosity, confidence, and the joy of learning. But the real question was, how do we ensure that this enthusiasm continues long after the camp ends?

The answer was Shiksha Samvaad.

Across all 13 blocks of Kalahandi, teachers, parents, School Management Committee members, education officials, community leaders, and children came together with one shared purpose: to reflect, to listen, and to reaffirm our collective responsibility towards every child's learning.

Shiksha Samvaad reminded us that quality education is not the responsibility of schools alone. It is built when families encourage learning at home, teachers continue to innovate in classrooms, communities stand beside schools, and the education system works together with a shared vision.

The conversations were honest. The ideas were practical. The commitment was inspiring.

What made Shiksha Samvaad truly special was not the stage or the programme. It was the spirit of partnership, ownership, and hope that filled every gathering.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the District Administration, the School & Mass Education Department, district and block education officials, Expert Resource Persons, District Resource Group teachers, school leaders, parents, and every community member who made these dialogues meaningful.

A special note of gratitude to our valued partners, MANTRA, ShikshaLokam, Axis Bank and State Bank of India, whose belief in the power of collective leadership and quality education has been instrumental in making this journey possible. Your support continues to strengthen local leadership and create meaningful opportunities for children to learn, thrive, and dream.

Day 2 of the UDAAN Workshop was filled with energy, learning, and meaningful engagement!

Students and Teachers from Government Schools across all 13 blocks of Kalahandi district enthusiastically participated in interactive sessions, collaborative activities, and practical learning experiences designed to strengthen classroom practices and improve student outcomes.

The UDAAN Workshop is being organised by ORF in association with the District Education Officer, Kalahandi, with support from MANTRA and Axis Bank under the Shikshagraha Collectives initiative.

Together, we are empowering educators, transforming classrooms, and building a stronger future for every child in Kalahandi.

UDAAN Learning Camp Takes Flight Across Kalahandi! 🚀📚

The journey of learning, curiosity, and collaboration has begun!

We are delighted to share that the UDAAN Learning Camp has commenced across all 13 blocks of Kalahandi district, bringing together more than 600 students for an engaging and joyful learning experience.

Over the next few days, students will participate in interactive sessions, experiential activities, collaborative learning, and opportunities to strengthen their STEM Learning skills while building confidence, creativity, and critical thinking.

This district-wide learning initiative will culminate on 2nd July with Shiksha Samvaad, a platform to celebrate learning, share experiences, and reaffirm our collective commitment to strengthening quality education for every child.

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated teachers, resource persons, education officials, and partners whose unwavering support has made this initiative possible.

Together, we are nurturing young minds and creating meaningful learning opportunities across Kalahandi.

Livestock Health Camp

Odisha Rising Foundation-ORF in collaboration with the District Veterinary Office, Kendujhar, and with support from Reliance Foundation, successfully organized 4 Livestock Health Camps to strengthen animal healthcare at the grassroots level!

The initiative covered 1,122 animals and benefited 102 farmers, with 20 weighing machines and 40 thermometers distributed to Goat Cadres — equipping them with essential tools to monitor animal health, track growth, and ensure timely veterinary care.
These health camps reflect our continued commitment to improving livestock productivity, reducing mortality, and supporting sustainable rural livelihoods.

Together, we're building stronger, healthier communities — one goat, one cadre, one camp at a time!
