National Association for Rural Advancement - NARA has reached 100+ Gram Panchayats across Odisha State in India through the Samvaad Se Vikas Campaign, addressing a critical governance gap in Odisha where 764 Gram Panchayats still lack internet/mobile connectivity and rural tele-density remains only ~62%, leaving many Sarpanchs and PRI members unable to effectively use digital platforms for service delivery.

Through on-ground digital support, raising awareness of online governance platforms, leadership engagement and youth-led mobilization, NARA is enabling stronger citizen-to-leader communication and helping bridge this digital divide and strengthen grassroots governance across rural and tribal Odisha.

In the remote villages of Nayagarh district, Odisha, many families still struggle to access their basic rights and government entitlements. Low awareness, complex procedures, and limited last-mile support often mean that the poorest remain excluded from welfare benefits meant for them.

To bridge this gap, National Association for Rural Advancement (NARA) has initiated the NARA SAATHI DESK — a community-based facilitation and accountability platform that empowers citizens to understand, claim, and monitor their rights.

🟢 How NARA SAATHI DESK Creates Impact:
✅ Provides timely information on social protection, health, and livelihood schemes
✅ Offers handholding support for applications and documentation
✅ Establishes grievance redressal mechanisms through civic dialogue and community forums

Recently, a multi-stakeholder event was held in Kandha Nayagarh village of Nayagarh district (Odisha, India), bringing together over 50 community leaders including women self-help groups, community caders, and frontline health workers — fostering collaboration, awareness, and action for equitable service delivery.

The outcome is visible:

- Rural citizens are more informed and confident to claim their entitlements
- Local institutions are becoming more transparent and accountable
- Communities are learning the power of collective voice and civic participation

Every dialogue, every facilitation, and every redressed grievance is a step towards inclusive, people-led rural governance.

📩 Let’s collaborate to scale this transformative model across other rural districts of Odisha and beyond.

Connect with NARA to explore partnership, CSR, or program opportunities.
