मुंबई में करिकुलम वर्कशॉपः साझा विमर्श से समावेशी शिक्षा को समृद्ध बनाने की एक पहल
हमारा यह विश्वास है कि शिक्षा को समावेशी, आनंदमयी और बच्चों के स्थानीय संदर्भों से जुड़ा होना चाहिए। इस उद्देश्य को व्यापक स्तर पर ले जाने के लिए अन्य सामाजिक संस्थाओं के साथ अनुभवों का आदान-प्रदान और आपसी सहयोग बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। इसी कड़ी में, मालाबार चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट एवं थनल फाउंडेशन द्वारा 20 और 21 मई को मुंबई में दो दिवसीय करिकुलम वेटिंग वर्कशॉप का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें एकलव्य फाउंडेशन की ओर से निदेश सोनी एवं खेमप्रकाश यादव ने सहभागिता की। इस कार्यशाला में प्रथम फाउंडेशन, संस्कृत केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय और अपनालय जैसी प्रतिष्ठित संस्थाओं के साथी भी शामिल हुए।

मालाबार एवं थनल फाउंडेशन द्वारा देश के 19 राज्यों में लगभग 2500 केंद्रों का संचालन किया जा रहा है, जहाँ पोषण, स्वास्थ्य, स्वच्छ पेयजल और शिक्षा जैसे बुनियादी विषयों पर काम होता है। वर्तमान में इन केंद्रों पर बच्चों के सीखने की प्रक्रिया को और अधिक प्रभावी व व्यावहारिक बनाने के लिए एक नए पाठ्यक्रम (करिकुलम) का विकास किया जा रहा है। शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में एकलव्य के ज़मीनी अनुभवों को साझा करने के लिए ही संस्था को यहाँ विशेष रूप से आमंत्रित किया गया था।

पाठ्यक्रम के तकनीकी पक्ष और विमर्श: इस कार्यशाला का मुख्य तकनीकी पक्ष एक ऐसे 'करिकुलम' को संरेखित (Align) करना था जो बिबिध राज्यों की स्थानीय आवश्यकताओं और राष्ट्रीय पाठ्यचर्या रूपरेखा (NCF) के मानकों को पूरा कर सके। तकनीकी सत्रों के दौरान बच्चों के सीखने के स्तर (Learning Levels) का सटीक आकलन करने, गतिविधि-आधारित शिक्षण (Activity-Based Learning) को रोज़मर्रा की कक्षाओं का हिस्सा बनाने और अमूर्त अवधारणाओं को सरल शिक्षण सामग्रियों (TLM) में बदलने पर गंभीर विमर्श हुआ।

कार्यशाला का एक मुख्य तकनीकी दृष्टिकोण यह था कि पाठ्यक्रम केवल किताबी ज्ञान तक सीमित न रहे, बल्कि उसमें 'स्थानीय संदभों को जोड़ा जाए, यानी किसी क्षेत्र का बच्चा अपने भूगोल, भाषा और संस्कृति के माध्यम से ही विज्ञान या गणित के सिद्धांतों को सीखे। इसके अलावा, सीखने की प्रक्रिया को अधिक सहभागी (Interactive) और आनंददायक बनाने के लिए तकनीकी रूप से 'लर्निंग इंडिकेटर्स (सीखने के सूचक) तय करने पर भी चर्चा हुई। विभिन्न संस्थाओं के बीच हुए इस तकनीकी संवाद और अनुभव साझाकरण ने भविष्य में सार्वजनिक शिक्षा को और अधिक मानबीय, सुदृढ़ और प्रासंगिक बनाने की दिशा में सहयोग के नए रास्ते खोले हैं।

विभिन्न साहित्यिक माध्यमों,
कविता, कहानियों और सहभागिता के साथ सीखना

एकलव्य फाउंडेशन द्वारा 1 और 2 मई को माइंड ट्री स्कूल, अंबाला में शिक्षकों और बच्चों के लिए दो दिवसीय कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यशाला का उद्देश्य सीखने की ऐसी प्रक्रियाओं को बढ़ावा देना था, जिनमें सहभागिता, रचनात्मकता और भाषा के साथ सक्रिय जुड़ाव को महत्व दिया जाए।
पहले दिन आयोजित शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में 21 शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया। प्रशिक्षण का केंद्र साहित्य के उपयोग और उसके माध्यम से सीखने की प्रक्रियाओं को समृद्ध बनाने पर रहा। विभिन्न गतिविधियों, सामूहिक पठन और चर्चा के माध्यम से प्रतिभागियों ने इस बात पर विचार किया कि कक्षा में साहित्य को कैसे बच्चों के अनुभवों, कल्पना और अभिव्यक्ति से जोड़ा जा सकता है।
दूसरे दिन बच्चों के साथ भाषा और अभिव्यक्ति से जुड़ी गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की गईं। कक्षा 3 और 4 के लगभग 150 बच्चों ने स्टोरीटेलिंग सत्र और हाव भाव के साथ कविताओं की प्रस्तुतियों में भाग लिया, जिससे सीखने की प्रक्रिया अधिक जीवंत और आनंददायक बनी। साथ ही, कक्षा 7 के लगभग 20 विद्यार्थियों के लिए लेखन कार्यशाला आयोजित की गई, जहाँ उन्हें अपने विचारों को अभिव्यक्त करने और रचनात्मक लेखन की प्रक्रिया से जुड़ने का अवसर मिला।
एकलव्य के वरिष्ठ साथी सुश्री दीपाली शुक्ला और शिवनारायण गौर जी द्वारा संचालित यह कार्यशाला सीखने को संवाद, सहभागिता और साझा अनुभवों से जोड़ने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रयास रही।

DIET Teacher Training Programme: Strengthening Science Education Through Government Collaboration
A three day residential workshop was organised at DIET, Forbesganj for around 40 science teachers from Araria district with the aim of familiarising them with the science kit developed by Eklavya and strengthening activity based science learning practices in classrooms. Facilitated by Himanshu and Sachin from Eklavya, the workshop created opportunities for teachers to engage with science concepts through exploration, discussion, and hands on experiences.
The sessions focused on themes such as solubility, electricity, and light, using activities and experiments that encouraged participants to connect scientific ideas with everyday experiences. Alongside concept based sessions, teachers were invited to investigate a set of pre identified questions through observation, experimentation, and discussion. This inquiry based approach allowed participants to experience learning as a process of questioning and exploration rather than memorisation.
The workshop also created space for collaborative learning, where teachers reflected on classroom practices and shared experiences with one another. In their feedback, many participants appreciated the opportunity to engage deeply with science concepts through practical activities and expressed enthusiasm to carry similar experiments and investigations into their classrooms.
The programme reinforced the importance of creating learning spaces where curiosity, participation, and experimentation become central to meaningful science education.

मेलघाट शिक्षण लोक संवाद: गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा की साझा पहल
भविष्य की मजबूत नींव... गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा” के विचार को केंद्र में रखते हुए 7 मई 2026 को धारणी, मेलघाट में एक महत्वपूर्ण मेलघाट शिक्षण लोक संवाद कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। मोंटफोर्ट कॉन्वेंट स्कूल, कुसुमकोट में आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य मेलघाट के आदिवासी समुदायों के बच्चों के लिए बेहतर और समान अवसरों वाली शिक्षा पर संवाद को आगे बढ़ाना था।
कार्यक्रम में यह समझ साझा की गई कि शिक्षा केवल विद्यालय तक सीमित प्रक्रिया नहीं है, बल्कि यह समुदाय, परिवार, शिक्षक और सामाजिक संस्थाओं की साझा जिम्मेदारी भी है। चर्चा का केंद्र यह था कि किस प्रकार जिला परिषद स्कूलों, आश्रमशालाओं और अन्य शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में पढ़ने वाले बच्चों तक गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा पहुँच सके और उनके सपनों को आगे बढ़ाने वाली सीखने की परिस्थितियाँ बन सकें।
इस आयोजन में कई संस्थाओं और संगठनों ने भागीदारी की और अपने अनुभव साझा किए। विभिन्न संस्थाओं द्वारा लगाए गए स्टॉल सीखने, संवाद और अनुभवों के आदान-प्रदान के केंद्र बने। एकलव्य फाउंडेशन, धारणी की ओर से लगाए गए एकलव्य पिटारा स्टॉल में बाल साहित्य, शिक्षा से जुड़ी पुस्तकें और शिक्षण अधिगम सामग्री (TLM) प्रदर्शित की गई। एकलव्य टीम ने अपने चल रहे कार्यों, अनुभवों और समुदाय आधारित शिक्षा के प्रयासों को प्रतिभागियों के साथ साझा किया।
कार्यक्रम में मेलघाट के अनेक गांवों से छात्र, अभिभावक, शिक्षक और समुदाय के सदस्य शामिल हुए। जिला परिषद स्कूलों के पूर्व विद्यार्थियों ने अपने अनुभव साझा किए, जिससे वर्तमान विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरणा मिली। यह आयोजन केवल एक कार्यक्रम नहीं था, बल्कि शिक्षा को लेकर सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी और साझेदारी को मजबूत करने का अवसर बना। “भविष्य की बुनियाद दर्जेदार शिक्षा” का साझा संकल्प इसी भावना के साथ आगे बढ़ा।

Resource Support Programme: Strengthening Hands-on Science Learning Practices
on 26th and 27th May, a two day workshop was organised for around 15 programme coordinators from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu associated with Kalike Foundation. Facilitated by Himanshu and Aisha from Eklavya, the workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of activity based science learning and support the effective use of science kits in educational settings.
The workshop created a collaborative learning space where participants explored scientific concepts through direct engagement and experimentation. Sessions focused on ideas such as volume measurement, relative density, and respiration in plants, encouraging participants to observe, question, and build conceptual understanding through hands on activities rather than rote methods.
An important aspect of the workshop was exploring how science learning can be made simple, affordable, and enjoyable. Participants created low cost scientific toys and models such as stethoscopes, kaleidoscopes, pinhole cameras, and electric motors. These activities demonstrated that meaningful science learning does not always require expensive resources, but can emerge from curiosity, creativity, and locally available materials.
The workshop reflected a shared commitment towards building learning spaces where participation, experimentation, and collective exploration help make science more accessible and connected to everyday life.

Learning Together, Growing Together:
A Residential Workshop for Reflection and Deeper Understanding
A five day residential capacity building workshop was organised at the Eklavya campus in Hoshangabad from 30th April to 4th May, bringing together around 20 team members from different projects across the organisation. Conducted during the summer break, the workshop created dedicated time and space for collective learning, reflection, and dialogue, values that remain central to Eklavya’s community based educational approach.
The workshop focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of challenging concepts in science and mathematics, including atomic theory, pressure, and division of decimal numbers. Rather than limiting learning to activities or experiments alone, sessions encouraged participants to engage deeply with the ideas behind these concepts, promoting questioning, discussion, and conceptual clarity.
Language and literacy related activities were also an important part of the workshop. Read aloud sessions, book talks, and story narration exercises provided opportunities to explore language as a medium for communication, imagination, and participation. Participants also reflected on the educational purpose behind these practices and their role in creating inclusive learning spaces.
The workshop became more than a training programme. It served as a shared space for exchanging experiences, strengthening understanding, and reinforcing the belief that meaningful education grows through collaboration and continuous learning.
