*175 Kg Plastic Waste Collected at Manuabhan Tekri under โJAGRITIโ Cleanliness Awareness Drive*
Bhopal: With the objective of promoting environmental responsibility and maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, the *โJAGRITI โ Cleanliness Awareness Initiative: Clean and Garbage-Free Bhopalโ* was successfully organized at *Manuabhan Tekri, Bhopal*
More than *100 volunteers from various social organizations* enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive. During the campaign, volunteers carried out cleaning activities in the Manuabhan Tekri area and collected *over 175 kilograms of plastic and polythene waste*
The initiative aimed to spread awareness among citizens about the importance of keeping public places clean and protecting the environment.
The drive was jointly organized by *PAL Research and Welfare Society, Bhopal* and the *Department of Social Work, The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS)*. Several social organizations extended their support to the program, including *Action Aid, DTG Foundation, Sarthak Society Bhopal, Kothiya Social for Sustainable Development and Research, We Care, Rahat Foundation, PSWSA, Social Outreach Unit โ BSSS, Youth for Seva Bhopal, and Cyber Club โ Computer Department BSSS*
The organizers expressed special gratitude to the *Jain Temple Committee, Manuabhan Tekri*, for their cooperation and support. They also acknowledged the assistance of the *MRF Center, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC)* for helping in the proper collection and management of the waste.
The organizers stated that the primary objective of this initiative was to raise awareness among youth and citizens about maintaining cleanliness at public places and to encourage community participation in building a *cleaner and greener Bhopal*
