The Zion Welfare Society for Poor, Bhopal, a non-government, non-profit making, charitable organization, which was registered as society under the Madhya Pradesh Societies Act 1973, on Nov. 2007, has been active in most of the rural and slum areas of Hoshangabad, Raisen and Bhopal districts, for the last 4 years. The organization aims at transforming the most backward villages and poor slums into
self-reliant, healthy and conscientious communities sharing equal contribution and responsibility towards the development and pride of the society and the nation as well. The main objective of the organization is to improve the quality of life of the people by raising helping hand to overcome the difficulties they have been facing in their struggles for self survival at priority basis and afterwards providing non-formal education and awareness creation on health, hygiene, STIs/STDs, HIV/AIDS and livelihood for promotion of socio-economic condition of these rural & slum communities. For all these years the organization has been providing its vital services to the people of this area in the fields of health, education, agricultural development, skill development, empowerment of women and communal harmony.
