Welcome to Kala Kunj Foundation, a Bhopal-based NGO committed to uplifting the marginalized sections of society. Our primary objective is to empower the underprivileged by providing them with access to quality education, creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for small vendors and Self Help Group (SHG) members, and recognizing the unsung heroes who are making significant contributions to the betterment of society. Additionally, we are dedicated to addressing women's health and hygiene needs, contributing to both individual well-being and overall societal development.

On 21 September 2026, on the occasion of the 11th Ayurveda Day, LN Ayurvedic College and Kalakunj Foundation jointly organized a Health Awareness & Swarnaprashan Program at Damkheda Anganwadi Centre, Bhopal.

103+ children were provided Swarnaprashan medicine as part of the initiative.

Dr. Shailesh Jain conducted an informative awareness session for children and mothers, focusing on child health, nutrition, hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices.

The program aimed to create awareness about Ayurvedic health practices and empower parents with essential knowledge for the healthy growth and development of children.

🌸 Breaking Myths, Building Menstrual Awareness!

On 19 September 2026, Kalakunj Foundation, under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, in collaboration with Bhopal Municipal Corporation, conducted a Menstrual Awareness Session under the Nirmaya Abhiyan at Government Middle School, Kalapani, Kajlikheda, Kolar Road, Bhopal.

The session engaged adolescent girls aged 8–16 years, helping them understand menstruation as a natural biological process through Menstrupedia Comics. The session also focused on menstrual hygiene, correct sanitary pad usage, nutritious and iron-rich diets, and essential health precautions.

📚 85+ girls received free Menstrupedia Comics, while a Sanitary Pad Bank was provided to the school teacher to support continued menstrual hygiene practices.

Through Nirmaya Abhiyan, we aim to increase awareness, address menstrual myths and misconceptions, and promote better health, hygiene, and confidence among adolescent girls.

On 11 September 2026, Kalakunj Foundation, under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, in collaboration with Nagar Nigam, conducted a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness Session under the Nirmaya Abhiyan at Bodakha Anganwadi, Kalapani, Kolar Road, Bhopal.

Through Menstrupedia Comics, women and adolescent girls were sensitized about:
🌿 Personal hygiene during menstruation
🩷 Correct use of sanitary pads
🥗 Balanced & nutritious diet
🚫 Busting myths and misconceptions around periods

The session also addressed menopause awareness among women aged 45–50, covering common physical and emotional changes, symptoms, and essential health & hygiene care during this stage of life.

At the end of the session, 101+ women and adolescent girls received free sanitary pads and Menstrupedia Comics, promoting access, awareness, and dignity.

Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow! ✨

On 8 September 2026, Kalakunj Foundation, in collaboration with LNCT Ayurvedic College, organized a Swarnaprashan Camp at Daulatpur Anganwadi & Government Primary School, Daulatpur, Bhopal.

Around 59 children aged 6 months to 16 years received Swarnaprashan, an Ayurvedic preparation, with the aim of supporting their overall health, immunity, and physical & mental development.

The session also created awareness among children and families about the importance of Ayurveda, healthy living, and holistic well-being.

Healthy Communities, Stronger Futures. ❤️

On 7 September 2026, Kalakunj Foundation, in collaboration with LNCT Hospital, organized a Free Health Camp at Bairagarh Chichli Anganwadi, Bhopal, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

The camp provided health check-ups to around 32 children, women, and men. Pediatric and Gynecology specialists conducted consultations for common health concerns such as cold, cough, fever, and other health-related issues.

🤰 Pregnant women were guided on the importance of regular health check-ups, nutritious food, and proper intake of iron supplements. Essential medicines were also distributed free of cost to those in need.

Through this initiative, Kalakunj Foundation aims to make accessible healthcare available to the community while creating greater awareness about preventive healthcare and healthy living.

Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness | Nirmaya Campaign

On 1 September 2026, Kalakunj Foundation, under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, in collaboration with Bhopal Municipal Corporation, organized a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness Programme at Daulatpur Anganwadi, Kolar Road, Bhopal under the Nirmaya Campaign.

📖 Through the Menstrupedia Comics, women and adolescent girls were sensitized about:
• Menstrual hygiene & personal cleanliness
• Healthy and nutritious diet during menstruation
• Common myths and misconceptions around periods

The session also addressed menopause awareness, helping women aged 45–50 years understand common physical and emotional changes, symptoms, and self-care practices during menopause.

❤️ The programme concluded with the distribution of free sanitary pads and Menstrupedia Comics to 69+ women and adolescent girls, promoting informed choices, dignity, and better menstrual health.

On 31 August 2026, Kalakunj Foundation, under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, conducted a Menstrual Health Awareness & Sanitary Pad Distribution Programme at Chichli Anganwadi, Kolar Road, Bhopal, as part of the Nirmaya Campaign.

Through Menstrupedia Comics, women and adolescent girls were sensitized about menstrual hygiene, personal cleanliness, nutritious diet, and breaking myths and misconceptions around menstruation.

The session also addressed menopause awareness for women aged 45–50, covering common physical and emotional changes, symptoms, and essential self-care practices.

🌸 76+ women & girls received free sanitary pads and Menstrupedia Comics, promoting dignity, awareness, and healthier menstrual practices.

Because menstrual health is not a taboo—it’s a right.

One Plant. One Promise. A Greener Tomorrow.

As part of the ANVI Campaign, Kalakunj Foundation conducted an Environmental Awareness & Plantation Initiative on 27 August 2026 at Shri Sanwariya Shyam Public School, Dehri Kalan, Bhopal.

Students and school staff were sensitized about environmental conservation, plantation and the importance of nurturing plants. 🌿

On 17 August 2026, Kalakunj Foundation organized “Pinky Ki Kahani”, an engaging puppet show on Good Touch & Bad Touch at Government Naveen Higher Secondary School, Arera Colony, Bhopal.

The awareness session reached 70+ children aged 3–16 years, helping them understand safe and unsafe touch in a simple, child-friendly way. Children were encouraged to recognize uncomfortable situations, speak up, and immediately share their concerns with a parent, teacher, or trusted adult.

The session also introduced children to Child Helpline 1098, empowering them with the knowledge to seek help when needed.

Through such child safety awareness programs, Kalakunj Foundation continues to work towards creating a safer and more aware environment for children. 💛

On 14 August 2026, Kalakunj Foundation, in collaboration with LNCT Ayurvedic College, organized a Swarna Prashan Camp at Mendora Anganwadi and Government Primary School, Mendora, Bhopal.

The camp provided Swarna Prashan to 92+ children aged 6 months to 16 years, as part of an initiative focused on supporting children’s health, immunity, and overall physical and mental development. 💛
