♻️CBLU Students Visit Waste Disposal Center to Study Solid Waste Management
Students of the PG Diploma in Social Work from the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani conducted an educational visit to the city’s waste disposal center as part of their field work with the environmental organization Stand With Nature.
Under the leadership of Dr. Lokesh Bhiwani, founder of Stand With Nature, the students observed and learned about the complete process of solid waste management. During the visit, Vineet Saini, Project Head of Shri Shyam Waste Management Pvt. Ltd., along with the staff, explained the procedures of waste collection, segregation, and disposal.
Students were informed that waste is collected daily from all 31 wards of Bhiwani city through tipper autos and transported to the waste disposal center. At the facility, dry waste is separated into recyclable and non-recyclable categories, while wet waste is processed through organic methods.
Dr. Lokesh emphasized that proper solid waste management is crucial for maintaining urban cleanliness and protecting the environment. He encouraged citizens to adopt the habit of separating wet and dry waste at home to support sustainable waste management.
