The enemy wants repentance to feel terrifying.

But Scripture shows something different.

The prodigal son wasn’t humiliated.
He was embraced.

Repentance is simply realizing:
“I don’t want distance from God.”

And walking back home.

“Look how bad you are.”

It’s God saying,
“Come back. This is not who you are.”

The word repent means to change direction.
Not to drown in shame.

Conviction leads you closer to God.
Shame pushes you away.

Lent is about turning back,
not tearing yourself down.

It’s a tradition rooted in Scripture.

Before resurrection comes reflection.
Before celebration comes surrender.

For the next 40 days, we slow down.
We examine our hearts.
We return to what matters.

Prayer is simply… coming to God.

Even when you’re messy.
Even when you’re tired.

God would rather have your honest prayer
than your fake “I’m fine.”

Some days you can’t pray loud.
Some days you don’t even know what to say.

But even a whisper reaches heaven.

God is not waiting for fancy words,
He’s listening for your heart.

It’s a library of real human encounters with God.

That’s why it comforts, challenges, and confronts us..

Maybe the problem isn’t Scripture.

living problem-free lives.

It was written for people who doubted,
failed, feared, questioned...and still met God.

That’s why it still speaks.
And that’s why it speaks to you.
