SHELTER has been working in India focusing on human rights and social justice for the persons with special need. We do this through well planned and comprehensive programs in special education, vocational training, sheltered workshop, therapeutic services and community based rehabilitation. Our target is the empowerment of persons with special need by utilizing their full potentials through proper

education, training and supportive services, making them personally, socially and occupationally independent leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods and creating an inclusive community for all people with or without special need to live a life with dignity and security.
