Step Towards Independence ❤️

Ms. Sunita Sahoo (26), daughter of Sri Bidyadhara Sahoo from Asurali, Dhamnagar Block, and a postgraduate student of Bhadrak Autonomous College, has been empowered with an advanced extension prosthesis provided by DDRC (IA-CRSR), Bhadrak.

Born with bilateral lower limb congenital anomalies, she can now walk confidently and is delighted with her new prosthesis. Her journey is a testament to the transformative impact of rehabilitation and assistive technology in restoring mobility, confidence, and independence.

A Moral Motivational Programme on "Power of Understanding" & Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan was successfully organised at the CRSR Auditorium on 09.07.2026. DSSO Bhadrak Sri Khageswar Sethi inaugurated the Programme in the presence of Sri Padman Ku. Ray Ex-DSSO, Dr. Debaraj Panigrahi, Ex-Chairman, CWC, Bhadrak, Dr. Arun Ku. Lenka Principal CRSR College of Special Education, Dr. Bhagabanparida Gen. Secretary CRSR and Smt. Smita Majhi, SSSO, Bhadrak.

Eminent Motivational Speaker Sri Pranab Saran encouraged the Audience present to lead a dignified life through his enlightening session, "Understanding – A Journey from Self to Cosmic." Staff members of CRSR and students of CRSR College of Special Education actively participated in the programme.

On the occasion, Dr. B. Parida, Chief Functionary of the organisation, conducted an awareness session under Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan, highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse. The programme concluded with a pledge by all participants to keep themselves, their families, friends, and communities free from drugs and substance abuse.

Together, let us build a healthier, drug-free, and value-based society.

The 3-day CRE Programme on "Educational Practices for ID Children in an Inclusive Setup", approved by RCI, Govt. of India, concluded successfully on 04.07.2026 at CRSR College of Special Education.

The programme witnessed active participation of 50 rehabilitation professionals /special educators/ BRTs, along with enriching sessions by eminent resource persons on inclusive education for children with intellectual disabilities.

Heartfelt thanks to all guests of inagiural function & valedictory function, eminent resource persons, organising team and participants who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme. Your commitment and support made this event truly meaningful.

A 3-day Zonal level CRE Programme on "Educational Practices for ID Children in an Inclusive Setup", approved by RCI, Govt. of India, commenced today at CRSR College of Special Education.
The programme was inaugurated by Sri Saroj Kumar Dutta, ADM, Bhadrak, in the presence of distinguished guests. Around 50 rehabilitation professionals, special educators, and BRTs are participating. The programme will continue till 4 July 2026, featuring expert sessions on inclusive education for children with intellectual disabilities.

Secretary to Govt, Department of SSEPD during her district visit reached Residential Rehabilitation Centre for Children/ Persons with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities(IDD) of CRSR, Charampa, Bhadrak in its campus on 15.06.2026, the time the centre organised Raja Festival for the inmates.The activities organised include er****on of temporary swings in addition to permanent swings in the garden, Different Games & Sports competition,Dance & Music , distribution of sweets traditional earmarked Odia Cakes.The festive ambience created in the campus could attract the inmates for involvement to enjoy .

District Level "Bikashara Dhara Odisha Sara"Programme organised at Shaheed Smruti Bhawan,Bhadrak . Srimati Pravati Parida,Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister,Odisha inaugurated the three daylong celebration in the presence of Sri Avimanyu Sethi, Hon'ble M.P. Bhadrak, Sri Sitansu Sekhar Mohapatra, Hon'ble M.L.A.Bhadrak , Collector and District Magistrate,Bhadrak and other District Level Officers. District Level Offices of Different Departments specifically Dept. of SSEPD and DDRC, Bhadrak opened stalls to create awareness to general public on different welfare schemes ,services and benefits provided for PwDs (Divyangjan) and Senior Citizens.On this occasion Motorized Tricycles, wheelchairs, Smart Prosthesis, Orthosis, Hearing Aids, Smart Phone etc. distributed/ fitted to 33 eligible PwDs. Sri Manmohan Samal Hon'ble MP while visiting the stall appreciated quality and fitting of Smart Prosthesis.

District Level World Autism Awareness Day 2026 organised at Auditorium of CRSR, Charampa, Bhadrak.Sri Khageswsr Sethi DSSO,Bhadrak, Sri Padman Kumar Ray Ex-DSSO, Bhadrak, Dr. Debaraj Panigrahi Ex- CWC Chairman, Dr. Arun Kumar Lenka, Principal CRSR College of Spl. Education and Dr. Bhagaban Parida Gen. Secretary CRSR etc. invited dignitaries inaugurated the Programme. Students of B.Ed(Special Education ID) managed by the organisation,Parents/Guardians of Children with Disabilities, Rehabilitation Professionals and other supporting Staff actively participated in the programme. In series of discussions on the issues for early identification, intervention, measures to be taken for reducing the effects of disabilities were discussed through PPT to create awareness among parents, Professionals, field level workers etc.
