Mathematics Day Celebration | CTE, Belgaum

To commemorate the birthday of the legendary mathematician Dr.Srinivasa Ramanujan, Rajalakshmi Children Foundation celebrated Mathematics Day by hosting a Mathematics Quiz. 92 students from 22 schools took part enthusiastically in the skillfully designed quiz aimed at promoting logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The quiz had five rounds including a visual round.
Winners of the Quiz Competition are
1st Prize – Saraswati High School
2nd Prize – Govt High School Vadagaon
3rd Prize – Govt High School Sulebhavi
4th Prize – Govt High School Kangrali B.K
5th Prize – Sardar’s High Schook

To encourage continuous learning, All students who participated received exam pads as well as certificates of participation.

The event was a great success, inspiring young minds to explore the beauty and importance of mathematics.

A 3-day unforgettable journey (24th–26th October) with 105 energetic students — filled with learning, adventure, and teamwork! 💪✨
From Commando Training, Chicken Walk, Whale Watch, Swinging Beam, Giant Net, Nature Scavenger, to Navigation, every activity brought out courage, discipline, and team spirit among the students. 🎯
A wonderful experiential learning journey to develop skills, spirit, and self-discovery amidst nature’s beauty. 🍃💚

Sahana's Story: Courage Against All Odds.

Sahana is a bright, curious child with a deep love for science and mathematics. The eldest daughter of a hardworking bike mechanic, she carried her family’s hopes on her young shoulders. Her academic brilliance earned her admission to a prestigious government residential school, where she began chasing her dreams with quiet determination.

But life took a sudden, cruel turn. While staying in the hostel, Sahana began experiencing weakness in her right hand and leg. Alarmed, her teachers and parents sought help, and she was eventually referred to NIMHANS. There, she was diagnosed with a demyelinating neurological disorder — a condition that could have devastated her future.

Thanks to timely medical intervention, the progression of her illness was halted. But she could no longer continue at the residential school and had to return to her village.

Most would have given up. Not Sahana.

Displaying remarkable resilience, she taught herself to write with her left hand and prepared on her own for the NMMS (National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship) exam — and passed with flying colours.

It was around this time that she came under the radar of the Rajalakshmi Children Foundation's Pratibha Poshak initiative, which identifies and supports talented students from challenging backgrounds. Sahana was selected, her grit and potential shining through.

Today, with the support of Pratibha Poshak, Sahana stands on the threshold of new possibilities. Her story is not just one of academic promise, but of courage, adaptability, and unyielding hope.

RCF’s Pratibha Poshak is proud to be part of her journey — and to help her soar towards the dreams she never gave up on.

The Rajalakshmi Children Foundation took over 72 students from Pratibha Poshak Cohort 1 to the 🌿 Nature Bound Sahyadri OBT Camp 🏕 on the 2nd to 4th March 2025 as a part of the Pratibha Sammelana Event. The camp involved experiential learning 🎒, zip lining 🌟, balance games ⚖, meditation 🧘, tent stays ⛺, net climbing 🧗, bird watching 🐦, trekking ⛰, and many other activities to boost the students' mental and physical health 💪🧠.
