BIG ANNOUNCEMENT from the Rotary Fellowship of Kites (RFOK)!

From a humble sky in Addis Ababa to soaring across global horizons — Rotary Fellowship of Kites (RFOK) is now officially taking flight as a truly global Rotary Fellowship! 🪁✨

We’re thrilled to welcome our new President, Rtn Sandesh Kaddi from RC Belgaum, India 🇮🇳 — a true kite guru whose passion for the skies will now guide our Fellowship into new heights!

📍 The World Secretariat remains rooted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where our story began. But now, RFOK soars to India for 2025/26, and we will keep rotating across continents, passing the leadership baton and kites of peace like the wind carries hope.

With the spirit of service and legacy in the air, the Rotary Club of Belgaum held its annual Installation Ceremony on Friday evening, 4th July, at the Foundry Cluster Hall. This significant event marked the beginning of the club’s 85th year, as Rtn Sandeep Naik was installed as President for the Rotary year 2025–26.

The new leadership team was officially installed by PDG Rtn Avinash Potdar in the distinguished presence of Assistant Governor Rtn Rajeshkumar Talegaon and Rtn Pushpa Parvatrao. Outgoing President Rtn Suhas Chandak and Secretary Rtn Dr. Manisha Herekar warmly passed on responsibilities to their successors, expressing gratitude to all supporters of the 2024–25 term

The newly appointed Board of Directors includes Rtn Amit Sathaye (President Elect), Rtn Dr. Manisha Herekar (Vice President), Rtn Suhas Chandak (Immediate Past President), Rtn Dr. Santosh Patil (Secretary), Rtn Shailesh Mangale (Joint Secretary), and Rtn Sunish Metrani (Treasurer). Additional roles were assigned to Rtns Sanjay Kulkarni, Parag Bhandari, Dr. Shilpa Kodkany, Manoj Pai, Mukund Bang, Chetan Pai, Akshay Kulkarni, Manoj Huilgol, Nandan Bhandari, and Manoj Michael.

🌟🌿✨ Kites, Leadership & Rotary Spirit in Action! ✨🌿🌟

Rotary Fellowship Of Kites (RFOK) is honored to be part of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2024-2025 hosted by Rotary Club of Belgaum, District 3170! 🌍🎓

Led by one of our very own, the passionate kite ambassador Rtn. Sandesh Kaddi, the youth experienced the magic of Kite Making & Flying — not just as an art, but as a true leadership tool that connects us to people, nature, and the sky above! 🪁🌤️🌿

As Rotary Magazine beautifully puts it:
“Kite flying builds more than skill — it builds character, teamwork, patience, and the courage to rise against the wind.” 💡🌬️

💡 Through this workshop, participants discovered:

✅ The art of soaring while staying grounded — just like true leaders do!

From vibrant discussions on Cyber Crime by Rtn. Alpesh Jain, to nature walks, golf course tours, and inspiring fellowship, RYLA at Belgaum Golf Association became a perfect blend of mind, body, and spirit.

A big salute to President Rtn. Suhas Chandak, Event Chairman Rtn. Sandesh Kaddi, Secretary Rtn. Dr. Manisha Herekar, and the entire Rotary Club of Belgaum for organizing such a visionary leadership experience. 👏👏
