Position Title: District Coordinator
Reporting To: Project Director at GVSS & State PMU (MRC Program)
Location: Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh
Type of Position: Full-time
Roles & Responsibilities:
-Program Management at the District Level.
-Lead and oversee the implementation of the program within the assigned district.
-Supervise and coordinate with team members working across blocks and Panchayats within the intervention area.
-Identify and finalize implementation blocks as per program guidelines.
-Recruit district staff, including Field Officers, Jan Saathi Facilitators, and Jan Saathis, with the support of the recruitment team of GVSS.
-Facilitate training programs to enhance the technical and soft skills of district-level staff.
-Develop district-level plans covering Worker Protection, Social Security, GR building etc.
-Ensure compliance with GVSS guidelines and provide necessary oversight and support.
-Conduct regular field visits and team meetings to address field challenges.
-Monitor the real-time usage of tech platforms (program app and portal) for daily work, reporting, and MIS updates.
-Review and analyze social security application statuses, identify gaps, and address them in collaboration with the relevant team.
Documentation & Reporting-
-Maintain MIS records, prepare reports, and document case studies and success stories.
-Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure all team members adhere to their responsibilities.
-Provide weekly updates to the director on the program's progress and challenges.
-Participate in organizational training sessions and meetings organized by GVSS and MRC PMU.
Stakeholder Engagement-
-Build relationships with government departments and officials at the district and block levels to enhance program visibility and credibility.
-Foster collaboration with NGOs, CBOs, and other organizations operating within the district.
-Engage with private players such as Common Service Centre (CSC) operators to strengthen program outcomes.
-Promote the Majdoor Helpline across various platforms and among stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills
-Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
-Minimum 2 years of experience in program management, preferably in grassroots or development projects.
-Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and the use of tech platforms.
-Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
-Willingness to travel extensively within the district.
