Empowering women farmers through knowledge and practice!
A two-day training on Scientific Goat Rearing was conducted by the SeSTA team at the AMAN Foundation Office, in Kalgachia Block where 25 women farmers learned about breed selection, housing, feed management, and disease control — strengthening their skills for sustainable and profitable goat farming in rural Assam.

We organized a community meeting in Kharballi Village to discuss the role and benefits of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The session brought together community members to understand how SHGs can support income generation, savings, and collective decision making. Participants shared experiences, asked questions, and explored ways to strengthen their groups. Through such initiatives, Aman Foundation aims to promote self-reliance, financial inclusion, and community empowerment.

This Teacher’s Day, we celebrate courage, love, and leadership. A classroom becomes a world of beauty where learning feels like art. One teacher walks miles every day, even with an injured ankle, because children are waiting. Another crosses a river to reach school and ensures mid-day meals are served on time starting on day two. One holds 45 children close through every change and uncertainty, always smiling. There is one who is never afraid to raise her voice when her students’ learning is at risk; she makes the system listen. These are our fellows. These are our teachers. These are the leaders shaping tomorrow.

On 26th August 2025, we were grateful to have Ms. Enakshi Dutta, Director of Roots to Branches Foundation, conduct an insightful session with the AMAN Foundation Team, AMAN Fellows, and teachers from Ambition Academy.
The session focused on strengthening our understanding of Child Protection Policy (CPP) and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Policy, ensuring safer, more inclusive, and child-friendly learning spaces.
Together, we reaffirm our commitment to building environments where every child feels safe, respected, and empowered.

We were happy to host Ms. Niharika Sarmah from the SeSTA NoDe Team for a two-day visit at AMAN Foundation.

Her visit included:
- Guidance on improving our existing policies
- Useful insights into enhancing our livelihood projects
- Review of our upcoming Annual Report & Quarterly Report
- Field visits to two government schools, where she observed our fellows & Classoom and engaged with communities

Institute Training 2025 | AMAN Teaching Fellowship
After the Assessment Centre, our fellows spent two weeks learning, reflecting, and practicing. They prepared to enter classrooms with confidence and purpose.
Week 1 Highlights:
• Orientation to AMAN Foundation’s mission and vision
• Life Map and SWOT (Self & Community) with field immersion in Barpeta’s riverine areas
• Workshops on empathy, communication, and stakeholder mapping
• SEL, joyful learning, and classroom management
• Lesson planning, teaching methods, and baseline assessments
• POSH, CPP, and preparation for Summer School
• Reading Fluency (Phonics: sounds, blending, segmenting)
Week 2 Highlights:
• Phonics: Practice teaching and checking for understanding
• Mathematics: Number sense, CPA approach, and assessment integration
• Reading Comprehension: Strategies, storytelling, and questioning with India and Me
• Institute Showcase: Inspiring presentations from peers and school placements
This enriching journey was led by Neha Gujar, Heena Khanna, and Kaurabi Patra. Their guidance made the institute training meaningful.

A Day of Passion, Purpose and Possibilities!
We’re proud to share that the Assessment Centre for our teaching fellowship took place on 6th July 2025 at AMAN Foundation, Kalgachia.
We had the privilege of meeting inspiring individuals, leaders ready to bring real change to their communities.
From heartfelt lesson plans to powerful classroom demos, each participant showcased their unique spark. They demonstrated not just how they teach, but why they teach.
It wasn’t just about blackboards and flashcards; it was about connection, creativity, and a shared dream of better classrooms for every child.
This meaningful and engaging day was designed and led by our Program Manager, Kaurabi Patra. Her vision and dedication made it all possible.
A huge thank you to all our incredible candidates. Your passion inspires us. The future of learning looks brighter with you in it.
