FROM GIRIDIH DISTRICT TO THE NATIONAL CAMP

A proud milestone for the Aarambh Indigenous Sports Development Programme, Giridih, with 6 young athletes from Giridih district selected for the National Kho Kho Camp, representing Jharkhand across the U-14, U-17 and U-19 categories.

The selected athletes are Dilip Baski (U-14 Boys), Piyu Kumari (U-17 Girls), Uday, Akash and Sawan (U-19 Boys), and Tara Kumari (U-19 Girls).

Their selection reflects the potential of grassroots sporting talent when young athletes receive the right opportunity, training and support.

A heartfelt thank you to Sportscom Industry Conf. for supporting Aarambh and helping create pathways for young athletes from Giridih district to reach the next level.

Congratulations, champions. The journey continues. 🇮🇳

🇮🇳 A Proud Independence Day for FSSA and Mayurbhanj!

On the auspicious occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, three of our athletes, Namita, Sudeshna, and Laba Murmu, were honoured with the Sports Excellence Award for representing Mayurbhanj at the national level in Kho Kho and Rugby.

The awards were presented in the presence of Shri Hema Kanta Say, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Mayurbhanj; Shri Varun Guntupalli, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj; Shri Netrananda Mallick, OAS(S), Additional District Magistrate, Mayurbhanj; and Dr. Subhasis Nayak, Senior District Sports Officer, Mayurbhanj.

For us, this recognition is more than an award. It is a reminder of what becomes possible when young athletes are given opportunity, support, and belief.

At FSSA, we remain committed to nurturing grassroots sporting talent and creating pathways for athletes to make Mayurbhanj, Odisha, and India proud at the national and international stage.
