A ruined Boat
Once dancing over the blue waves, now crumbled, dilapidated and grounded
As if I strolled into a musty dust laden cone, transported into another epoch
An ambience created by Sun rays screened through Mist and branches of rain forest
My rainbow nostalgia faded into monochromatic shots.
Every broken piece blurred my vision of familiar shapes and silhouettes
That lost fragrance of memories cascading one upon another like those blue waves
My heart made heavier and heavier with each cut and sharp editing views.
Below the layers of abundant sand, brown and beige, black and white or no colour
Weave a plethora of stories for generation to generation, year after year, wave after wave
- The fisherman venturing through the estuary returned with a big catch
- The frightened emigrant left the land for a better pasture
- The local bard singing a ballad for the upcoming lovers
- The newly wed bride rowed into the unknown destination
- A capsized boat amidst festivities and bustle
And many more
Today the flatness of the texture reflecting the impalpability, the prism of past dulled
and diluted
Into hazy and ephemeral view of the boat disintegrating gradually
Sank into vertex, dark vacuous vault.
