Lieutenant Governor Addresses Historic Interfaith Dialogue for Harmony in Baramulla.

Baramulla, July 19: Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha addressed the Interfaith Dialogue for Harmony – "Mulaqaat", organised by the Save Youth Save Future Foundation (SYSF) at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla. The historic event brought together thousands of people from different faiths, communities, and walks of life, providing a unique platform to promote peace, communal harmony, mutual understanding, and the shared values of Jammu & Kashmir's rich cultural heritage.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor commended the Save Youth Save Future Foundation for its sustained contribution to youth empowerment, social harmony, and the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir campaign. He appreciated the dedication of the Foundation's volunteers, observing that their efforts have strengthened trust within society, inspired young people, and demonstrated the power of collective action in bringing positive change.

Highlighting Jammu & Kashmir's rich spiritual legacy, Shri Manoj Sinha said the land has, for centuries, been nurtured by the teachings of Saints, Sufis, and Rishis, who spread the timeless values of love, compassion, brotherhood, and coexistence. He emphasised that social and religious harmony remains the foundation of a peaceful, progressive, and developed Jammu & Kashmir, and called upon the youth to lead the Union Territory with education, innovation, and a spirit of national unity.

The Lieutenant Governor also interacted with representatives of different faiths and appreciated their collective commitment to strengthening communal harmony, mutual respect, and social cohesion across the region.

The programme was attended by Major General Manoj Joshi, GoC Dagger Division; Shri Brij Mohan Sharma, Principal Secretary, Culture Department; Dr. Vinod Kumar, DIG North Kashmir Range; Shri Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid, Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla; Shri Gurinderpal Singh, SSP Baramulla; Shri Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman, Save Youth Save Future Foundation; Ms. Anika Nazir; Mr. Mudasir Dar; senior civil and police officers, religious leaders, members of civil society, distinguished guests, and thousands of participants.

Lieutenant Governor Interacts with Volunteers of Save Youth Save Future Foundation; Launches 'Mulaqaat' Initiative.

The Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, today interacted with the volunteers of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation at Lok Bhavan, Srinagar.

During the interaction, the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor appreciated the Foundation's dedicated community outreach and social initiatives, particularly its efforts to inspire greater youth participation in the fight against substance abuse. He called upon young people to become ambassadors of a Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir and continue spreading awareness in their communities.

Reaffirming the administration's commitment to combating drug abuse, the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor stated that every effort is being made to dismantle the drug ecosystem while ensuring treatment, rehabilitation, and reintegration opportunities for affected youth.

The members of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor for his visionary leadership in spearheading the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan. They also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Civil Administration and Jammu & Kashmir Police in taking stringent action against drug peddlers and the narcotics network.

On the occasion, the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor formally launched "Mulaqaat", a new initiative of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation aimed at bringing together people from diverse communities to interact, share their memories, experiences, traditions, and cultural heritage. The initiative seeks to strengthen social bonds, promote communal harmony, and foster mutual understanding across society.

The programme was attended by Shri Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman, Save Youth Save Future Foundation; Ms. Anika Nazir, Women's Wing Head; Shri Mudasir Ahmed Dar, South Zonal President, Vice Chairman Mir Arif along with core members and district coordinator’s of the Foundation.

Continuing its efforts to engage, empower, and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth of Kashmir, Save Youth Save Future Foundation distributed 24 cricket uniform kits among the players of local cricket team at Sheeri Baramulla.

The programme was held in the presence of Chairman Save Youth Save Future Foundation, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, SHO Sheeri Baramulla, Mr. Jazeeb Bhat and President Heaven Cricket Association Mr. Sheikh Tajamul, along with other prominent guests and team members.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat said that the initiative is aimed at empowering the youth by providing them with opportunities, encouragement, and support through sports and positive community engagement.
