Tribute to Pahalgam Martyrs and Promotion of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Mark One-Day Programme at Pulwama.

The Save Youth Save Future Foundation, in collaboration with the District Administration Pulwama, organized a one-day interaction programme along with a cricket match at Pulwama Ground today. The event was held to pay homage to the martyrs of the Pahalgam terror attack and to promote the message of a drug-free society under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir initiatives.

The programme was led by the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Mr. Basharat Qayoom (IAS), along with Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation.

As a mark of respect, a two-minute silence was observed in memory of the martyrs. All players wore black armbands, and jerseys bearing the number 26 were used to honour the 26 martyrs of the Pahalgam attack. The words “Pahalgam Martyrs” were inscribed on each uniform as a tribute.

The cricket match was played between teams representing District Pulwama and District Shopian, reflecting unity and sportsmanship among the youth.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama paid rich tributes to the victims of terrorism and reiterated the administration’s commitment to continue the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.

Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of the Foundation, highlighted that the organization is actively working across the Kashmir Valley on multiple initiatives, including support for victims of terrorism, promotion of a drug-free Kashmir, and youth engagement through sports, education, and empowerment programmes.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. Jasib Shabir, District Coordinator of SYSF Pulwama. Other senior officials and members of the organization also participated in the event. A large number of local youth, students, and members of civil society were present, making the programme widely attended and impactful.

The event concluded with a collective pledge against drug abuse, reaffirming the commitment to building a healthy and drug-free society.

Villgam, Kupwara: “Taleem Haq Hai Humara”, a branch of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation, organized an educational outreach and interaction programme along with a stationery donation drive titled “School Chale Hum” at Glisten Public School, Villgam Kupwara, as a solemn tribute in remembrance of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. The initiative aimed to support the educational needs and overall development of students while honoring the memory of those affected by the tragedy.

The programme commenced with a warm and inspiring inauguration led by Ms. Anika Nazir, Chief Guest, Founder of Taleem Haq Hai Humara , Women’s Wing President, Save Youth Save Future Foundation. The event evolved into a vibrant and engaging interaction session, bringing together students, parents, members of the public, and the local civil society of Villgam. Meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and collective reflections marked the occasion, fostering a spirit of unity, awareness, and a renewed commitment towards education and social responsibility.

During the programme, essential items including stationery materials, study resources, and sports materials were distributed among the students to promote both academic growth and extracurricular engagement. The drive was conducted for the upliftment and betterment of the students, ensuring access to basic educational resources.

The event also featured heartfelt performances by students, who presented patriotic songs and shared their thoughts on the tragic Pahalgam terror attack. The students paid tribute to the victims and expressed their grief, making the programme emotionally meaningful and reflective.

DARDNAMA: A Chronicle of Pain, Truth, and Human Resilience Held at Dak Bungalow,

The Save Youth Save Future Foundation organized a grand programme titled “DARDNAMA: A Chronicle of Pain, Truth, and Human Resilience” at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla, witnessing the participation of nearly 250 terror victim families from across District Baramulla and providing them a dignified platform to share their experiences, many of whom had remained unheard for more than three decades.

The programme focused on families affected by terrorism during the past thirty years whose cases had neither been properly documented nor addressed in a systematic manner. The interaction aimed to acknowledge their suffering, restore dignity, and bring long-pending grievances into the administrative domain.

During the programme, several terror victim families personally interacted and shared their painful experiences, narrating the hardships, loss, and suffering they had endured over the years. Many of them expressed that for the first time they felt heard and viewed the initiative as a ray of hope towards justice, dignity, and institutional support.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Shri Syed Fakhruddin Hamid (IAS), attended the programme as Chief Guest, while Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla, Shri Gurinderpal Singh (IPS), attended as Guest of Honour. The event was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Shri Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi; Chairman of Save Youth Save Future Foundation, Shri Wajahat Farooq Bhat; Women’s Wing President, Ms. Anika Nazir; District Information Officer Baramulla, Shri Iftikhar Naseem; along with other dignitaries and senior members of the organisation.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Shri Syed Fakhruddin Hamid, assured that all genuine cases presented during the programme would be examined on priority and processed in accordance with established procedures.

Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla, Shri Gurinderpal Singh, assured full cooperation from the police administration and stated that all necessary support would be extended in genuine matters concerning terror victim families.

The DARDNAMA: From Silence to Strength : A Testament of Courage and Survival programme was organized by the "Save Youth Save Future" Foundation at the Auditorium Hall, Government Degree College Uri, Baramulla, on 13 February 2026. The event witnessed the participation of nearly 100 families affected by terrorism from Boniyar and Uri Tehsil of District Baramulla.

The programme provided a dignified and inclusive platform for victims of terrorism, many of whom have remained unheard for over three decades to share their experiences. It also included families who lost their loved ones in cross-border shelling. The primary objective was to acknowledge their suffering, restore their dignity, and bring long-pending grievances into the public and administrative domain.

The event specifically focused on families affected over the past thirty years whose cases were neither properly documented nor systematically addressed. Through structured interaction, the Foundation sought to ensure that these genuine cases receive due attention and justice.

On the occasion, the victim-centric and humanitarian initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor J&K Shri Manoj Sinha were acknowledged and appreciated, particularly measures related to rehabilitation, relief assistance, and employment support for families affected by terrorism.

The programme was led by the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, who highlighted the prolonged suffering, sacrifices, and resilience of genuine victims of terrorism. In his address, he emphasized that for the last three decades, a large number of affected families remained voiceless and invisible despite enduring irreparable losses.

The event was graced by the presence of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Mr. Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi, as the Chief Guest. He assured the gathering that the District Administration Baramulla stands firmly with the victim families. He patiently listened to their grievances and directed the concerned officials to resolve all genuine cases promptly and on priority. He was accompanied by other officials from the district administration.

Senior office bearers of the Foundation were also present, including Zonal President North Kashmir Mr. Ishfaq Ahmed Bhat, Provincial Coordinators Mohammad Maqbool Khan, Fayaz Ahmed Mir, Nasir Mehraj Bhat, and Muzamil Farooq Bhat, along with District Incharge Kupwara, Javaid Ahmed Beigh.

The proceedings were conducted by Mr. Zia Ul Islam, who ensured smooth coordination and facilitated a respectful and structured interaction between the victims and representatives of the Foundation.

During the interaction session, participants shared deeply personal accounts of loss, trauma, and resilience spanning the last three decades. The Foundation documented details of pending cases, including those of disabled victims, widows, orphans, and other genuine beneficiaries who have not yet received due assistance. The collected data will be pursued with the concerned authorities in a structured, transparent, and responsible manner.

Save Youth Save Future Foundation organized an awareness programme titled “Mulakaat Samkhun Teh Bedaar Gasun” at the Pulwama Town Hall, focusing on two of the most pressing challenges confronting contemporary youth, substance abuse and the growing menace of misinformation.

The programme was addressed by Mr. Jasib Shabir, District Coordinator Pulwama, along with District Coordinators from other districts, including Mr. Shabir Ahmed Sheikh (Budgam), Mr. Rasik Ahmed Sheikh (Shopian), and Mr. Amir Rashid Sheikh (Srinagar). The speakers offered in-depth insights into the systematic and long-term consequences of drug abuse, as well as the deliberate spread of misinformation, particularly through digital and social media platforms. They highlighted how these challenges impair judgment, erode moral values, and hinder the social and intellectual development of young individuals.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of critical thinking, media literacy, and responsible digital engagement as essential tools for youth to navigate the modern information landscape and make informed decisions.

On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, 26th January 2026, it is a moment of immense pride for Save Youth Save Future Foundation and its entire team that our dedicated grassroots team members from different districts were recognized and honored by their respective District Administrations and the Government for their sincere and impactful service.

Special congratulations to Team Baramulla, where our Joint Secretary, Mr. Ishfaq Ahmed Bhat, and District Coordinator, Mr. Moin ul Hamid, were felicitated for their commendable work.

Mr. Mudasir Ahmed Dar, Zonal Head of South Kashmir was honoured by the District Administration Pulwama .Mr. Jasib Shabir, was also felicitated by the District Administration Pulwama for his dedicated service.

Mr. Javed Ahmed, District Coordinator Kupwara, was likewise honored on the same day by District Adminstration Kupwara.

“NOOR-E-WUJOOD – Honoring the Courage of Terror-Affected Persons With Disabilities”

Kupwara, 3 December 2025 – Save Youth Save Future Foundation organized a distinguished programme titled “NOOR-E-WUJOOD” at Town Hall Kupwara to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The programme was led by Chairman Save Youth Save Future Foundation, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, and attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmed Bhat, Ms. Anika Nazir, President, Women’s Wing, Save Youth Save Future Foundation; and other eminent guests. The District Shopian unit of Save Youth Save Future Foundation, led by its coordinator Irshad Ahmad Bhat, along with Rasik Nabi, Aqib Ahmad, and district coordinators of Pulwama and Budgam, Jasib Shabir and Shabir Ahmed, actively participated in the event.

In a recent field engagement at Handwara, Kupwara, the Save Youth Save Future Foundation (SYSF), under the leadership of Ms. Anika Nazir, President of the Women’s Wing, convened an interaction with female survivors of terrorism, women whose husbands, fathers, brothers, or sons were lost to decades of terrorism and political violence in the Valley.

The dialogue sought to interrogate the intersecting dimensions of gender, trauma, and post-conflict recovery, while assessing the socioeconomic precarity and psychosocial resilience of affected households. The initiative underscored SYSF’s continued commitment to gender-responsive peacebuilding, restorative justice paradigms, and sustainable human development frameworks within the evolving discourse of New Kashmir.

Ms. Anika Nazir lauded the moral courage and agency of these women, portraying them as epistemic bearers of collective memory and architects of social transformation, whose endurance and lived experiences remain integral to shaping the trajectory of peace, justice, and inclusive reconstruction in post-conflict Kashmir.

Pulwama, October 18:

Continuing its mission to build a drug-free society, the Save Youth Save Future Foundation organized the 6th Drug Awareness Event under its ongoing campaign “Nayi Subah – Nashe Se Azadi, Zindagi Ke Saath” at Government Degree College Pulwama, in collaboration with the District Administration Pulwama and the Social Welfare Department.

The event aimed to raise awareness among youth about the growing menace of drug addiction and the need for collective efforts to curb it. Students, faculty members, and officials from various departments participated enthusiastically, making it a strong platform for dialogue and awareness.

Distinguished guests from the Health Department, Youth Services and Sports Department, Social Welfare Department, and respected religious scholar Mr. Feroz Ahmad shared valuable insights on the psychological, social, and moral impacts of drug abuse. They highlighted the importance of family support, community vigilance, and spiritual strength in preventing substance use among young people.

Mr. Jasib Shabir, District Coordinator Pulwama of Save Youth Save Future, delivered the welcome address and hosted the event. He reaffirmed the organization’s vision of a drug-free Pulwama, emphasizing youth leadership and community involvement.

Mr. Irshad Ahmad Bhat, Research Scholar, addressed the gathering on the link between cross-border terrorism and drug trafficking, explaining how narcotics are used to weaken youth and destabilize society. His address left the audience more aware of the broader dimensions of the drug crisis.

An interactive Q&A session allowed students to engage directly with officials from the Health, Social Welfare, and Youth Services and Sports Departments. Questions focused on rehabilitation facilities, mental health support, and preventive measures. Officials responded with clarity and compassion, encouraging youth to take active roles in building a drug-free society.

A student voting activity was also conducted to form a dedicated Anti-Drug Committee within the college. The committee will submit monthly reports on campus-related issues, including drug abuse and harassment, to the District Administration.

The event concluded with a collective pledge by students, staff, and guests to uphold the vision of a drug-free Pulwama. The Save Youth Save Future Foundation reaffirmed that when youth, administration, and institutions work together, the dream of an addiction-free society becomes achievable.
