Weavers’ Hut is a brand by Center for Sustainable Livelihoods (CSL). It seeks to skill and empower weavers of Uttar Pradesh to build handloom-based sustainable livelihoods and instill a sense of ownership for their craft. Our primary focus is on the ‘Julaha’ community who earn their daily livelihood by weaving cotton stoles and dupatta. Besides social stigma, they are bearing the brunt of a declin

ing Handloom Sector resulting in extreme poverty. Therefore Weaver’s Hut is working towards organising these weavers into unified community, raising awareness regarding their rights.
