Saraswati Mahila Shilpkala Prashikshan Samiti, having its registered office at Village: Kurauli, Post: Gandhi Ashram, Barabanki is a voluntary Social organization registered under Indian Societies Registration Act 21, 1860 having its Registration No. 90/91-92. Society was established with the basic aim of providing social services to all community which includes Training, Educational, Income gener
ating, Environmental, Rural sanitation & Awareness Programmes, and Cultural Activities etc. In order to make youth and women self dependent society has been carried out different type of Training Programmes like Tailoring & Knitting, Handicraft, Computer, etc. In addition to these society has been carried out several awareness Camps, Health check-up camps, Environment Protection & AIDS protection Programmes, etc. All these Programmes have been carried out successfully by society through its own resources, donations and govt. It is also important to mention here that society has been carrying out Job of formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in rural areas of the district Barabanki from its own resources. Society has deeply observed the pitiable position of these artisans who are very skilled in “CHIKAN CRAFT & PATCH WORK” but in absence of proper guidance & direction they still depend on the mediators. Now it is hoped that efforts by the society will bring a new era in their lives and will be able to earn very handsome amount without involving any mediator.
