Basic Uthan Avam Gramin Sewa Sansthan is an NGO registered under Societies Registration Act-1860. Though the organization is working for the upliftment of people (including poor, consumers, women & children) living at & around rural areas of Barabanki, our focus area of work is to ensure the rights of children especially the children belongs to the marginalized families or those are more vulnerabl
e towards risk. The organization is running a Child Friendly Primary School for such children at Chhandwal village in Banikodar block of Barabanki-Uttar Pradesh. We had initiated this school with the support of community itself in July 2005 and for the last ten years we are extending our efforts to sustain the education of children identified & enrolled through the Child Friendly School. The School promotes the enrolment of children coming from underprivileged families. Here we provide totally free basic education (Primary) to approx. 250 children annually. Here we not only provide education to these children, also we are trying to ensure that they have access to the services designed & provided by the governments to ensure their rights. The organization is preparing children for higher education. Beyond that we are bound to support these children until they will be able to become independent. The organization is also running a CHILDLINE-1098 service in Barabanki district. CHILDLINE is a national emergency toll free telephone outreach services to help the children who are in difficult circumstances. For the last two and a half year we have reached out to more than 1000 Children through CHILDLINE & other services. Other than these organization is also working in other areas of overall development of families who are vulnerable.
