Basera Children’s Village is a venture of Savera Homes Trust accredited by the Department of Women and Child Development (Reg No: KA270026NGFO). Our vision is to create a family-like environment for orphan girls providing them with the best care and education so that they become an asset to local and global community, rather than a burden. Basera is located in the Athigiri Kuppam village in Bangar
pet of Kolar District, Karnataka state. Each home will have up to 10 children under the care of one Mother who take care of the children’s needs on a daily basis. The destitute women are offered a new lease of life at Basera and respectfully addressed as ‘Mother’. They are assured emotional security of a family and community who bring forth prosperity to the Village. They take pride of the Basera children which gives meaning to their lives. Basera offers the mothers the necessary training and support to equip them to take better care of the children under their care. They are trained to become loving and supportive mothers for the children. The Village currently houses 35 girls under the care of 4 mothers (as of 2016 September) and we have the capacity to care 150 children and 20 women
