🎤 Insights from the SDG Summit 2025 | Voices of Future Leaders 🌍

We were privileged to hear Nishant Kumar, Conductor of the Senior Team at the Business School, share his reflections from the SDG Summit 2025 — an event that brought together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from diverse sectors such as real estate, sustainable management, and education.

Nishant spoke about how the session offered him deep practical insights into building a sustainable startup ecosystem. He emphasized the importance of understanding real-world challenges, validating ideas, and adopting sustainability-driven business models. Inspired by the diversity of perspectives — including young innovators as young as 10 years old — Nishant shared his excitement to implement these learnings in his future entrepreneurial journey.

The summit also highlighted how collaboration across generations and industries is key to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It was a reminder that impactful change begins with awareness, education, and the willingness to act.

VKF organized a one day Entrepreneurship programme for 150 youths in collaboration with JSS Yadgiri on 27th October 2025. The inaugural address was given by Mr Lavish Ordia - IAS , Ceo Zilla Panchayat Yadgiri.

It was well executed under the able leadership of District Nodal officers Smt Rajshree & Sri Girish Kulkarni EDP District

The set up included market place too with display of products and creating a safe space for learning to sell the products and connect to buyers along support from bank linkages for financial access to support working capital & raw materials procurement.

This is aimed at creating local entrepreneurs that will form clusters and development based on local resources that finally will result in strong local economies on select market driven process.

Student Reflections from S-VYASA University at the SDG Summit 2025 🌍

Today’s SDG Summit 2025 was an incredible experience — a true exchange of ideas, innovation, and inspiration.

Bharati from West Calcutta University shared that the summit was a powerful learning moment filled with insights from industry experts and entrepreneurs. She emphasized how inspiring it was to witness creative minds and innovative ideas, motivating her to stay resilient and never give up in any situation.

Chandra Kala from UCSF University, pursuing her MBA in English, highlighted that sustainability is the need of the hour. Her key takeaway was the importance of carrying forward sustainable approaches as future entrepreneurs and inspiring the next generation to be self-reliant and environmentally conscious.

Archana, an MBA student, reflected on how the session emphasized the importance of eco-friendly products and practices. She noted that adopting sustainable habits and products is essential for protecting nature and ensuring a better, greener future.

From the youngest innovators to seasoned professionals, the summit united diverse perspectives toward one common goal — building a sustainable and responsible world. The event left every student motivated to take meaningful steps toward entrepreneurship and sustainability.

Driving MSME Transformation and Industrial Sustainability 💼⚙️

At the VKF Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit 2025, we had the honor of hearing from Mr. N Prasad Rao, CEO of Pegasus Consulting, a firm dedicated to business transformation for MSMEs, steel industry consulting, and digitalization in oil supply chains.

With over 35 years of industry experience, Mr. Rao and his team of seasoned professionals are leading impactful projects in carbon reduction and sustainable practices within the steel industry — both in India and globally, including initiatives in New Zealand and the UK under the Green Steel Council.

He applauded the summit’s focus on cross-generational learning and collaboration, especially highlighting the inspiration he drew from the participation of young entrepreneurs like 10-year-old Nayana, who embody the spirit of the SDG generation.
