Not every impact can be measured immediately.
Sometimes it looks like a child participating more confidently after months of silence. Sometimes it’s a parent no longer feeling alone. Sometimes it’s a teenager beginning to believe they belong in spaces they once felt excluded from.
These moments may seem small from the outside, but together, they shape futures.
At VAANI, this is the work we stay committed to every day — building access, confidence, communication, and inclusion, one child and one family at a time.

For many deaf teenagers, the question is not “What can I do?”
It is “Will I get the opportunity to try?”
That is why youth transition support matters.
From digital skills and vocational training to confidence-building and career guidance, these experiences help young people imagine adulthood differently — not with fear, but with possibility.

Every skill learned becomes more than training. It becomes independence, choice, and dignity.

There’s a moment many parents remember clearly.
The moment they stop focusing only on what their child may struggle with… and begin noticing everything their child is capable of.
At VAANI, we see this shift happen through communication, support, and shared learning between families and children.
Slowly, homes become more expressive. Conversations become less frustrating. Children become more confident in asking questions, sharing feelings, and simply being themselves.
Sometimes inclusion begins right at the dining table.

Sometimes a child does not need louder instruction. They need someone willing to explain differently.

For many deaf children, learning becomes meaningful when it becomes visual, interactive, and patient. A drawing instead of a lecture. A gesture instead of repetition. A teacher willing to pause and try another way.

And then suddenly, the child who looked disconnected begins to engage. That moment changes everything — not just academically, but emotionally too.

Growing up is exciting. But for many deaf teenagers, it can also feel uncertain.

Questions about higher education, skills, work, independence — they begin to surface early.

That’s why youth support matters so deeply.

At VAANI, we work with young people as they begin imagining adult life for themselves — helping them build skills, confidence, and the belief that they belong in the futures they dream about.

Because every young person deserves more than encouragement. They deserve opportunity.

A child learns better when the world around them learns too.

That’s why inclusion cannot stop at the classroom door.

It grows when communities become more aware, when communication becomes more accessible, and when more people are willing to learn how to connect differently.

Sometimes it starts with a simple sign. Sometimes with a conversation. Sometimes with someone choosing to listen more carefully.

And slowly, spaces begin to feel more welcoming for deaf children and their families.

Awards are meaningful. But what they really represent matters even more.

Behind this recognition are families who trusted us, healthcare workers who travelled long distances, educators who adapted tirelessly, and communities that chose inclusion over silence.

We are delighted to share that VAANI Deaf Children’s Foundation, along with our CSR partner Thomson Reuters , has received the Indian CSR & Sustainability Award 2026 under the category of “Most Impactful Rural Healthcare Initiative.”

This recognition belongs to every person who has been part of this journey.

We are deeply grateful to Thomson Reuters for walking alongside us in building more inclusive futures, and a special thank you to Ashika G for encouraging and supporting this journey every step of the way.

Sometimes the biggest classroom breakthrough is not a test score.

It’s the moment a child who once hesitated to participate suddenly raises their hand first.

At VAANI, we see these moments often. A child understanding a concept through visuals for the first time. A teacher finding a new way to explain something. A parent hearing, “Today, my child spoke up in class.”

That’s what accessible education can do. It doesn’t just help children learn better — it changes how they see themselves.

There is something deeply powerful about being understood without struggle.

For many deaf children, inclusion begins the moment communication becomes easier — in classrooms, at home, and within communities.

That shift changes more than conversation. It changes confidence, participation, and the way children see themselves in the world.

At VAANI, we work towards creating more of those moments — where children feel seen, heard, and included.

Because understanding is where belonging begins.

Growing up means beginning to imagine a future of your own.

For deaf youth, that future becomes more possible when they have access to skills, guidance, and opportunities that prepare them for adulthood with confidence.

At VAANI, youth programmes focus not only on academics, but also on independence — helping young people build communication, technical, vocational, and life skills that support long-term growth.

Because every young person deserves more than support. They deserve opportunity.
